I'm thinking of moving up to 2GB of Ram and have hit a problem. My current setup (core2 6600, FSB @360) uses 2 x 512mb sticks of OCZ 5-5-5-18 PC6400. which i currently have running @ 720mhz in sync with the FSB. This setup gives me 5730MB/s in SANDRA.
Going on some reviews (such as the one on legitreviews.com)of top end kits like OCZ Reaper 9200 kits it looks like they won't beat this.
Am i missing something? To get to 2gb should i just shell out for another pair of 512's?
I remember getting 7500MB/s with my DDR500 kit and my athlon3000+ years ago... funny how some things don't improve in computing!
