I have my q8300 running @ 3.3 ghz @ the moment.
I just ran prime95 for over 38 hours, and its still working with no errors thus far.
the weird thing is. its stable accoording to prime95 but whenever i go play heavy duty games like Bf bad company 2 online, Armed Assault 2, etc the display driver crashes and i have to reboot to recover the gfx to normal working state.
@ the moment i have my gfx clocks set to default.
Usually my display driver only crashes when i OC the gfx, but now it crashes with the clocks on default...
has this anything to do with the PCI-E frequency that can be set in the bios ?.
cuz i read somewhere increasing the pci-e frequency increases the bandwidth.
the pcie frequency is currently set to 100, wich i also read is the best option when OCing ur cpu.
does anyone have the same experience and know how to fix this ?
its weird cuz i run my cpu at 3.6 ghz everything stable including the gpu.
and i havent realy changed anything, i only lowered the fsb and the Vcore. everything is the same as with the 3.6 ghz settings
Here is the screen with the results of prime95.
