Help! i7 930 OC became unstable.

    Before starting this thread, I checked the ram with bootable memtest usb drive, admittedly for few passes only, but it was the small FTT prime 95 test that consistently caused BSODs and it doesn't involve the ram, it stores everything inside the CPU cache. Increasing the vCore solved the issue so far, as mentioned before, so this further proves it is a CPU issue.

    Well good luck with the voltage increase. As long as the vrm circuitry doesnt pop

    i have noticed a few things do it over the years dude.

    some can take years like this, others just a few weeks but i think it all comes down to how tight you keep your tolerances when you tighten everything up. i always run on as little voltages as i can, so the slights deg shows up.

    unless you need to start upping the volts every few weeks/months to remain stable i would not worry about it. if that does happen drop the volts a few mv and lose a couple of 100mhz.
