Ok, installed 0.4, get a BSOD on booting to SLIEnabled config.

The BSOD is a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL failure, STOP: 0x000000D1 in NVLDDMKM.SYS.

The videocard drivers that are loaded are the Microsoft Win7 shipping WDDM 1.1 ones, not any of the nVidia downloaded ones. I made sure to uninstall all nVidia drivers before I uninstalled the previous SLIPatch and SLICertificate.

A photo is too much of a hassle... what info do you need?

If you need the addresses under the NVLDDMKM.SYS (bothe address and the datecode) that isn't an issue., even the stop code isn't, just let me know what you need.

OK, under 0.4 I installed the patch, then booted into normal Win7, installed 191 drivers, rebooted into SLIEnabled Win7, enabled SLI no problems.

Rebooted, went into SLIEnabled Win7, installed 195 drivers, it BSOD:

STOP: 0x000000007E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF80003031009, 0xFFFFF8800D1FA8E8, 0xFFFFF8800D1FA140)

I would just like to report my success at enabling SLI on my Gigabyte x38-ds5 with two 8800GT's on Vista64. Worked without a single glitch. Great work!

195 drivers won't even install on the normal Win7 boot config.

I had to reinstall 191. Reboot. Then tried to install 195 again and same thing it aborts the installation.

I will undo the SLIPatch in a little bit and see if it will install the 195s then.

1 more thing.. I'm currently using SLI without an SLI bridge on an motherboard with two PCI express2.0 16x links. These should have more than enough bandwidth for SLI, or would I see a significant performance increase with the bridge.

Well, we have a winner with 0.42 at least with the install of 195 drivers. I am also able to enable SLI. It only took me over 45 minutes to hack through the registry and inf files to clear out the botched 195 install. The episode also removed all references to the WDDM 1.1 driver so with uninstalling nvidias it actually went out and d/l the 191.07 WHQLs from Microsoft, so the 191s are my default driver now.

Big issue I see is an obvious problem with SLI actually working properly once it is enabled.

Running 3dmark Vantage it is obvious they they purposely are crippling SLI inside the driver somewhere on a hacked setup. Or the hack has some issue with something the driver does/needs.

191 with old hack worked perfect, great scores, etc. With the 195s the scores are even better, but there are visual aberrations in the scenes displayed and the playback is far from smooth.

I will be going back to the 191 drivers with the 0.42 hack here shortly and report in regards to any issues. I will also redo the 195 install and see if there are any problems the second time around as well before I report back.

ok, reinstalled the 191 drivers, everything runs smooth and perfect in SLI. Reinstalled the 195s and again jerky performance and visual problems. One of the consistent ones is the tarp covering the flying boat in the opening scene of 3dmark Vantage. The tarp flickers like they have 2 different models in motion. Again it is perfect under the 191s, but under the 195s has visual issues.

No errors on my system with 195.xx drivers and 2x GTX260s. Runs pretty well, few little hiccups, but I'm not so sure that's the SLI mod, I think it's the 195.xx drivers.

<== Specs on the left under post info.

Thank you Anatolymik =D
