lol,it is funny,though in hindsight I understand the mods.the thread was full of bickering (sadly took part in it myself) and frankly it was a terrible read for the observer.

It was a mitigation effort to reduce the amount of crap that was happening in that thread once I did get involved. I don't directly moderate that section so I cannot edit, LQ, delete posts, but rather can infract and reply ban. Would you prefer I had done the former?

But it is funny to be banned for making essentially the same observation, as the stated reason to close the thread altogether.

I guess a more constructive way of putting it (so that it doesn't feel like an OT comment) would have been to point out that the OP of that thread was asking the wrong question, which once posited the way it was would inevitably lead to the pointless discussion that followed, but oh well...

The thread title was misleading to a point compared to the actual content of the opening post.

Some only read the post itself, others like myself recognized it for what it was and responded accordingly.
It's too bad some assumed things and just ran with it, from there it devolved into a day at the monkey cages - Front row and center.

I saw the thread title, read the post and answered the question as the thread title was stated as being, then stepped out. I don't really believe the OP of it was trying to troll, more like the opening post was poorly worded vs the thread title.

Why should we expect forums to be different, asking questions to which the answer is inflammatory, wrong or as close to wrong as anyone can get, I am closer to the fringe of normies than hardware geeks and at this point, given up work in IT, I know my PC is older than shit so to see such questions posted is silly, like, why not abandon DX12, 11, 10 for 9 as it gave us enough..... its like asking how much blood is OK to bleed for the past.

There's definitely more constructive ways that entire topic could've been handled all around.
