i5 2500k + Corsair A50 temps a bit too high

hmm very nice!

I updated my BIOS and noticed it had an XMP profile there so I enabled it.
I have my cpu set to 4.2Ghz and now I'm reaching below 80c on prime. Very impressed now!

Did the BIOS update really make that kind of difference?? Much much much cooler now! I don't understand but I'm happy!

Edit: I have it clocked at 4.4Ghz now and running prime blend and it has reached 77c. Only 2 degrees hotter than 4.2Ghz at 75c. Very happy now xD
