You gotta try the a white semi flat ceramic tile from the hardware store!

I've been using the white semi flat ceramic tile for almost a few months now. It's the best unorthodox solution I've found. And all it cost was a $1.XX. And, I bought some non slip material called Ultra Solid Grip Liner to put underneath the tile to prevent it from moving and to keep it from scratching the table. In total it came to roughly $6.XX at the hardware store.

The Everglide Titan and 1030 archetype look really nice, but I don't think I got enough money left for one of those unfortunately

. The tile one looks quite workable, I read the info on it EastCoasthandle, and I was wondering what kind of tile to use if gloss ones aren't very good for the tracking of the mouse and the non gloss ones are easier to wear down the mouse's feet.

oh and I also read an article that said using wax paper and overhead transparencies work quite well. However the problem with the wax paper is that you have to replace it quite often. So i was thinking about trying out the overhead transparencies.

i use the steelseries QCK cloth pad on my kinzu optical gaming mouse and it works much better than my table surface.

A mouse pad is only needed if the mouse performs poorly without a pad. I have never used a mouse pad since switching over to optical mice back in 2000.
