not happy..apparently it wouldnt let me change the resoltuion and i couldnt get the mouse to work on the screen...uninstalled...dammit

There is no mouse, and you need to use your keyboard to change the resolution.

Man the optimization is bad. I maxed everythign and the battles were choppy. Should be able to max this np.

My 4850 and single core CPU do fine. A tad choppy at times, but overall I was quite surprised to see it run as well as it did.

I know renaming the benchmark helped helped increase the benchmark scores.

In the game I noticed it did drop some in big battles but ATI can fix that when the game releases.

1680x1050 4850 @ 650/1000 (stock) 122.2 FPS

I was hittin 100 in the benchmark. not sure i ran the whole thing. but yeah choppy in demo. ill try it again.

Edit: yeah choppy when they fight, not when picking moves though.

66 fps average on benchmark. 30 minimum

Ok I managed to grab alot of FPS by taking out the effects and shadows in battle, but there is still the town stuttering nonetheless, stutters like hell in the city. Not cool

Its a mad game, the only thing throwing me off is the performance, hopefully they improve by the time I get my hands on it.

I tried turning down the shadow quality, as in WOW shadows on higher quality look messed up so I tried that. Performance was just fine after

TLRBench with my setup:
sli enabled 109fps average
sli disabled 68fps average
Would be nice if the benchmark included the min fps since that is also important; just from how it felt I could tell min was a bit more noticeable with sli disabled then with it enabled.

First impression is the demo only had combat and no story plot, which makes for a very boring demo considering I prefer the story coupled with the gameplay. Also I sense the xbox-360-for-pc controller will be a must to play this game.

What did you rename the game to? I used FarCry2.exe.

Unfortunately I can't actually play games like this they're just not my style. I never understood the idea of taking turns in a battle. :shadedshu :eek:

EDIT ... The 360 controller does work amazing for this game. I think they ported the controls directly from the x360 version.

Average: 84.91 (1280x1024) with a 9800GT, demo runs smooth as silk, sadly it hardly looks like a FF beater.

I know its the PSU. Known for a few days now... lol

Reason I know. 100% load on the system, at stock settings, straight black screen and reboot. Rails aren't stable anymore also.

Cool, just wondering. Are your voltages on the rails slipping below what they should be when idle or they're just crapping out when stressed.

I can say this benchmark does stress the system pretty hard, it actually brings my CPU temps as high as Orthos can. :eek:
