I am looking into a NAS that will hook up to a LAN. The purpose of this is to create a master data location where files can be accessed, shared, and saved for multiple computers. I have a plan to use 4x 1TB drives in a RAID 5 configuration. However, I've tried to research a good NAS box to handle the drives. I knew off hand that Infrant was a good brand, but they were purchased by Netgear and have gone to the gutters (via word of mouth). The current one I'm looking at seems to be a decent fit for the price and features. Again, I'm not too familiar with the brands or what would work better.
Any advice with this is appreciated.
