Sorry, I thought I had to put 2 .pk4's in there for it. Anyway, I'm saving for a better graphics card so I can test out the different ones that were in the pack, unless ketxxx wishes too, and tell me which is best?

I can test whatever stuff you put in. My 1950Pro tends to perform better than others at the same clocks due to the optimisations I made to my 1950Pros BIOS, so it shouldnt be a bottleneck.

Does anyone here know how to map for Doom 3? My maps came without lights, leak, and all the guns are floating in the air, just out of reach when you jump

Possible new feature:

A possible new feature is the addition of "TinMen". These are basically other marines that can be spawned, that follow you and help you take down demons, or you could just... kill 'em and take their guns.



What do you think?

Also, I have the flare feature ready, HOWEVER, it means you won't be able to use handgrenades as a weapon, but only as a flare. Is this acceptable?

Is the flares OK? And should I include the TinMen?

Flares no, "tinmen" maybe. Perhaps make it so you can meet small groups of squads that got detached, instead of them outright randomly spawning like they teleported in or something weird like that.

They wouldn't randomly teleport in, as explained in the updated PDA I'll provide. I'll implement it tonight, to see what you think.

Just implementing TinMan now. I updated the personal PDA as well with instructions on how to use it. Also, what do you think about Dual Pistols?

Unfortunatly, Shaders and TinMan CANNOT be implemented. Sorry

If theres an option between the two, go with tinmen over shaders, the tinmen will make the game more interactive and interesting, a bit more "quake 4" if you will. If you can try to make the tinman AI quite smart, not much point in them if they all get slaughtered by the first enemy you find if its possible try making the tinman AI somewhere between the AI levels used on game difficulties marine and hard. Should make them realistic without them being "invincible"

Yeah, I coded the AI so they are smart, and they also have less health on harder difficulties. I'm going to try it again tonight, see if I can figure out what was causing the flashlight problem I was experiencing.

TinMan implemented, but there's loads of black blockas flying off z-sec and a black block on the allies shoulders now. Also, spawning them doesn't work. They are there by default in MC2, Admin and Alpha 1.

EDIT: @Dan: Because I want public input. There's not much point making a mod and hoping people will just say "OMG this is the greatest" when you put only the things you want in there. If you want it to be good, you need the public's opinion on what they want.

Talking to yourself or to Ket isn't the same as asking for public input. If you make few readable posts with clear questions and ideas every time you have something new to release people will more likely give you input.
Nobody will read several pages of you talking to yourself.

Its called brainstorming. Doing it in public gives fans the oppertunity to also voice their ideas without repeating something thats already been considered \ discussed
