Well if you tried everything else in your friends pc, then it may be your mobo. I just cant fathom how a video driver install could do that. Perhaps the restart did it, might have had something come loose or just crap out. It can happen. But after a year almost two, thats kind of odd. Im sure you have decent cooling and keep it clean. Hell, my MSI board is still kicking strong. If its the mobo, and its still under warranty, RMA it. They may give you a new one. Sorry bud.
