in this case need only driver optimisation, this games patched many times. then nvidia sells overpriced junk yes, for all old games. and no for all new games.
- Nvidia sells overpriced junk. Titan-Z is the prime example. If you don't use Titan-Z for anything other than gaming, you have thrown away a shitload of money. Congratulations on figuring that out AFTER your purchase. This really says it all and ends the discussion right there. YOU failed to do your research.
- Optimization happens for an
architecture, not on a per-game basis. The game ready drivers add compatibility bits that are required for newer games. At some point most or all compatibility bits are in the driver. For Kepler this is the case, any further gains are going to be minimal or are no longer worth the investment. That said, you buy that card with the driver it has on RELEASE, with the performance that it offers on RELEASE. Anything you gain over time is a bonus, not something you should 'expect'.
