Just got a random BSOD about 2mins ago, said down the bottom that AMD driver was not responding, then I quickly checked MSI afterburner and saw that the second GPU had 99% usage and I wasn't even utilizing any programs:confused::confused::wtf: thats got me baffled:wtf::wtf:

did anybody test the new 11.4 catalyst preview with a single 6950 or a 6970?

Don't you mean 11.3? ;)

BTW: AMD 6990 scores...

I'm fairly certain this Update just about took care of every minor issue I have had recently.....I think..As everything seems to have been instantly better after it was installed

Question about AMD HD 6770

I have a brand new HP machine with a factory installed AMD/ATI HD 6770 graphics card. The machine specs are as follows:

HP Pavilion Elite 590t series
Operating system: Genuine Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-990X six-core Extreme ion [3.46GHz, 1.5MB L2 + 12MB shared L3 cache]
Memory: 16GB DDR3-1066MHz SDRAM [4 DIMMs]
Hard drive: 160GB solid state drive
Secondary Hard Drive: 2TB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive
Graphics card: 1GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon HD 6770 [2 DVI, HDMI, DP. VGA adapter]

My question is, can I run 3 monitors off this set up? I have two monitors hooked up to the DVI ports, but there is the open HDMI port. So I plugged in a third moitor and the system regognized the third monitor, but would only allow me to actually display on two monitors at a time (any 2 of the 3 that I wanted and extended or duplicated in every possible combination but ONLY on two displays at a time).

I have been reading about "eyefinity" what ever that is, and was wondering if that or anything else would allow me to display on 3 monitors at a time.

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but I searched and couldn't find any better spot for it.

Thanks,

-ghoti

Just received and installed my new Sapphire HD 6870 and I love it! What an upgrade from an aging Powercolor HD 4850 512MB!

I love the Morphological AA setting. Now I know for certain my main bottlenecks are the CPU and HDD. :toast:
