Hello everyone I was curious of what everyone uses to keep there PC in tip top shape and running smooth?
CCLeaner and MS Disk Cleanup. Uninstall things you don't use, get rid of toolbars.
Run Malwarebytes Free weekly. Run Defrag/Optimize and Defrag weekly. I haven't had an issue with the OS defrag option since Vista, I have found no need to add any other programs to the mix. Win 7 SP1 and 8+ handle SSD Trim just fine. Windows 8 Optimize and Defrag runs Trim in place of Defrag.
I run one live scanning solution, usually MS Defender/Security Essentials. It doesn't need to be the best...the best take up too much resource-wise (more on HDD reads than anything).
Run OCCT PSU stress test once every 6-months to ensure cooling and system stability (if Overclocking, run once a year if not). This also includes regular vacuuming/dusting of your workstation.
Google Chrome + Adblock, save IE10/11 as the backup browser (should Chrome become infected or corrupted).
This system has worked for me for many years now.
Honestly I just use my PC, it's damn smooth and fast. But I do the above and try to stick to remembering to do some of it or scheduling it to run for me.
