Almost nothing in terms of materials, however you seem to ignore the fact that all that research and developement to get it working is far from free.

The only place I can go in this thread is to just leave it, however no where did I say it would be free. Nothing in this world is free. I know that, you know that. Making me look ignorant to that fact is just ridiculous.

Just have to realize that the market for this kindof hookup would be very niche, probably the reason the all in wonder isn't big. I'm done here though, I didn't mean to start something or have people get so worked up over the idea(emphasis on idea) that maybe this would be cool to have at some point or another.

Since you can't seem to remember your own posts, I'll quote it again:

If it's a feature that someday could be included for almost nothing extra

Not the exact word "free" but the same idea.

AIW isn't big because console-hook-up practically doesn't work.

right , but 58% seem to think it's a good idea ...

If I would buy , i would buy this one http://www.mimovrste.com/artikel/2650055225/q=Syncmaster/monitor-lcd-26-samsung-syncmaster-t260hd

5ms is a bit high but acceptable somehow , the current one has 2ms , so why would i buy some cheapo to get a console conn , but then get a crap screen in crysis or whatever.

Do i have the money yet? No

however the price is a bit blown up , it's been like that for like more than half year now , it's the best TV-tuner and adapter with the good screen I could find , if there's better one , let me see, but it has been outed by one guy that says it has a normal screen like 150€ monitor would have , yeah , it's not for gaming. So u just can't say, buy monitor, it's a lot more to it when actually buying , im not one of those who buy some stuf in local super market , come on , it need a week of research before i can choose , im not going to make same mistake i did with my PC , researched for a week, wasn't enough , had crap ram and crap manufacturer with missing reserve parts and cables.

lol it has 60hz max , fail.

Here's one that's more , balanced , but i don't see a lot of difference right away , other than that it's 24 inch , which is enough for me.

So I would have to then again get a new GPU to support my new resolution , since im gaming in today's lowest resolution.

75% of the options in the poll are positive, so its biased anyway. theres no vote for people who think its a bad idea, so its rigged..

Okay , but why would it be a bad idea anyway , I get the subjectivity of it , it may be too late or costly for them and for us , but what about objectivity of the idea it self.

It might not be that bad of an idea as a concept, however there are already more practical ways to do it, as we've pointed out in this thread. Back when all monitors used VGA and all consoles used composite or component, it was nice to be able to have an input on the video card that output to the monitor. However, in todays wold with consoles all being compatible with DVI or VGA directly, and even cheap monitors having DVI and VGA, there really isn't a point.

My friend bought a second monitor for his wii and xbox (he bought 360 just for banjo kazooie and soul calibor 4 :D) the monitor had like VGA , DVI , Component and composite , he bought xbox 1 week before prices went down , so like , he was very angry at those stupid 4 versions of different boxes , he got the standard edition without component cables nor HDD , so he connected via composite , the monitor was something like 15 inch , and the graphics , I don't know if SC4 looked so weird it's was just a mess , or if the xbox actually sucks :p , it looked so ugly on the screen.
