no dont use the sigquote tag, i only used it in the body text to make it not look like normal quotes.

looks smarter with the author in normal imo - whenever i quote work in university papers i format it with the quote in one style and author in a different style, makes for easier reading and identification of the two parts of the quote.

Hmmmm... I don't like the way the sig quotes are displayed now, they don't stand out enough. The text as displayed is fine and saves space (great!) but I still would prefer it on a different colour background.

I agree that sigs need limitations, perhaps in number of lines of text? One quote only. And IMO the biggest offender is the sigpics, they are too darn big.

There are already limitations on sigs. They are limitted to 500 Characters and 8 Lines.

And 500x100 19.5KB files aren't too big, IMO...

I don't really think that is necessary, 500x100 is perfect, IMO.

I'd actually like to see the text size increased to 600 Characters and 10 lines, so that I could fit one more Rig in my sig.

raising the word/line count, but reducing the maximum font size perhaps?

Force a size of 1(like my sig is currently, it isn't that hard to read is it?) but raise the character limit and line limit.
