Just goes to show you that you should wait for specials.

btw, GTA4 makes you sign up for Windows Live and then email and Rockstar.

So if you don't like companies forcing you to do crap..

I got Braid, Defense Grid TA, Foreign Legion: BoB, and Crash Time II all for $10. I played about an hour of Crash Time, and I have to say that it's totally worth $4. The physics aren't incredible (it's a little old) but everything is destructible, the cars handle well, it's pretty, and there are some really interesting concepts. I played a few minutes of the Foreign Legion game and wasn't very impressed. It was hard and there wasn't much depth to it. I've played Braid and DG before, they're both pretty good games. DG does get quite hard after the first 5 levels or so though.

Kind of tempted to pick up GTA4, I have the disc version (not currently installed), but I think I'm kind of done with that game. I'll also pass on Stalker, it doesn't appeal to me whatsoever (hard, scary, ugly, dirty, buggy, and primarily a RPG).

Stalker: Clear Sky is only 4.99 for anyone thinking of getting the first one.
Two sweet games for 7 dollars is insane.

There are so many deals on there I can't even begin to decide what I want.

Is Operation Flashpoint 2 worth $19.99? I know it is not perfect but it is really cheap.

I wonder if ARMA II is going to be on sale in the next few days.

I was waiting in the hope it might be one of those stupidly cheap prices at some point, so I guess if it doesn't happen I'll get back to you on that one. Thanks :toast:

Nah, Batman is already on sale at Steam with 33% off the full price of £29.99, its too new to go for silly money.

This voucher has to be redeemed by the 31st of December 09 BTW, so don't hang about if you want it. Tell you what, since its Christmas I'll drop it to £12, can't say fairer than that!!

Let's refrain from soliciting like this in the hot deals section.

Allow me to disagree with you.
I have the original STALKER. Bought it last year when it was 5€ and really enjoyed it. It has an amazing atmosphere, despite its flaws. The story is nonexistant at the beginning, but if you take your time it starts to grow and gets interesting.
About the technical difficulties, I didn't have many. A couple of crashes that went away after I updated the graphics drivers, nothing that doesn't happen with other games.

Have a look around before you decide. Many people like the game

Absolutely. I recently tried the STALKER Complete 2009 mod:
    Complete 2009

It's amazing. New textures, sounds, HUD, some crashing issues solved, more items, a free-roaming mode(allows you to stroll around the Zone without having to do the campaign- with a very well-equipped inventory).

So yeah, the game isn't perfect, far from it, but for 5€(or whatever it costs in dollars) is an excellent addition to the Steam account :D
