Room temps were around 30C at the time of the OP temp readings.

Just got my HD4850 in not that long ago. Got it OC'ed to 700/1000, and the fan is at 60%....keeps it at about 70 under load

Edit: Clear Sky leak gained a lot of FPS

Hmm, when I bumped up the clocks to 700/1000, none of those values were raised ;(

Go to CCC, move sliders to 700 / 1000. Open GPU-Z.

the model to, GPZ-Z reports 4870 and 4850 as the same aka 4800 (same as driver name in device manager)
but you can see the diffrent on the memory type, GDDR5 = 4870, GDDR3 = 4850

Put the Accelero S1 Rev. 2 on tonight. I strapped a 120mm led thermaltake fan to it.

Temperature is 78° F in my room.

Idle temp - 35° C

Load temp using ATT renderer - 41° C

I will test a game tonight.

ok I just tested the Cat 8.6 hotfix. Grid's San Francisco track now peeks around 75 FPS. Using Cat 8.6 alone I was only seeing mid 60s. Unfortunately I don't have the 8.6 pics.

I used overdrive in CCC to overclock my card, highest speed it found stable on mine was 1128 using auto tune.

Grid is a decent "pick up" game if you are into motorsports games. It's not sim but more arcade. As you progress some of the Ai can do things you can't do with the same car. But that's at savage and higher levels though.

Well the game does allow for crashing. It's not hard to figure out but I do recommend that you use a xbox 360 game pad as it's tailored for it. I haven't come across no harsh words or adult situations so far. However, I would keep your kids away from online. Some have complained about the youth who cuss, etc because they can't have their way.
