hm isnt a bit funny? i mean i look after new posts with the "find new posts" button i usually get 3-5 sites of ne posts so how can you filter everything?
in my opinion a new moderator and harder rules are only one side!
the other side is that the people come here to get some help or opinions or just want to show something so everyone should be looking after each other.
and make a list of mods so you can pm then if necessary.

Actually it is very clear, the law is quite clear on everything. Then again TPU is a .hk company which would probably mean we can sell 6 year olds as sexslaves... Hosted in the states I guess we need to keep that law in mind as well.

gr3if, it's quite easy, topics with new posts have another color. Plus people can report things if needed, few people do so they have little right to complain.

You just don't get respect from being anyone, you have to earn it. However, if someone doesn't learn to show a little, then they should be banned. All it will do is drag down a community.

I say let the rules be enforced by mods and they may discuss it amongst themselves. If that person has a problem, tough. Live with it.

I was attracted to this forum as I saw people with ambition and that were fearless. They wanted to do the best they could with what they had, thus OCing, flashing, tweaking, etc... The vast resources here.

Now is the time that we decide if we are a forum of wannabes or a forum of hardcore OC, willing to risk what we have in exchange for the possibility of a few more FPS. Sharing information to further computer performance and allow for better user experiance. Testing new hardware and giving reports that are unbiased (go ATI) and accurate.

Really if one member is a weight due to the need to be correct at the expence of progress, cut ties and keep moving. This is the job of mods, and the admin. To be sure that progress is made here, and that we are not just wasting time. In the past when other members were banned, no one cared. This isthe same thing, before it became such a big deal if Alec would have left for awhile to lick his wounds or find another place to settle, there would be no problem, but due to his making a big deal over all this and stirring up the waters, we have discussions that move away from our goal of hardware and the like.

Delete it, lock it, forget it.

Do whatever it takes to keep us moving forward.

Ahead, as in, forward to even greater greatness. For it is a great forum, there's lot's of knowledge here and lot's of kindness. It's friendly, it feels good to be here.

But I think the n00bishness (is that even a word?) haunts pretty much every hardware-forum on the entire Internet. Once a forum grows too big, the n00bs will come in and soon (in the worst cases, happend on a great swedish forum) every new topic will be "Where can I download Ati drivers".

EDIT: I'm not agains n00bs. I even consider my self as a level 2 n00b. Everyone MUST go through a state of noob before they can enter the pre-l33t-area, as I call it. The thing is that there's tr00 n00bs and bad n00bs. Bad n00bs don't search for answers, they scream and complain about whatever problem they have and wants someone else to fix their problems. Tr00 n00bs do their best to learn and grow.

i call myself a n00b so how knows all?
i now a bit about some themes and on some others i cant hardly say anything so thats a the idea of a forum share knowledge

but n00bs are everywhere but mostlikely they shouldnt be a big prob due to good mods

I will not diss this forum but generally speaking, it is much much more friendly than XS. Yet, it doesn't attract as many "advanced users" as XS <<<yet>>>. It doesn't attract as many show-offs anyway.

I think it's the light colors that make advanced users not come... The colors aren't "Serious" enough like XS but I like these colors alot more... Just the colors at XS makes it seem more "hardcore" and attract more "advanced users"

At least that's my opinion

If this forum ever became like XS it would be the last time I visited here. There is barely enough room on the internet for XS and their egos. Vote no for XS.

Same here, like I said, I like these colors alot more and there's less jackasses and everyone knows there place and even though someone may be "Higher up" than another, they treat them the same. I love how diverse this forum is and how friendly and has a sense of "homieness" to it (no not homie as in "Yo Homie!" but rather homeful)

XS is cool, if you know what your talking about. Otherwise you will get walked all over, which is a bad thing.

LMFAO!!!!!!!! If anything, the tension seems to have finally eased around here. THe trolls have been banned, the sissies have gone back under their rocks, and the tech threads are finally full of mostly helpful hints/tips without anyone telling us we are inferior. And yes, this forum has made a huge turn towards the light.

As for XS: :nutkick:

I like this forum too, there's always people here to help out, and you get fast replies and what-not. I always try to help out as many as I can since people like the advice I give them I guess. Also, if you say something wrong (as in wrong info about a product), people here take it lightly, they don't say "read you @$$ hole before you post! Do you have a computer?!?"
