Got a bug up me bum to investigate WCG power scaling. What I found was interesting, at least at first blush and on my 5600G. Efficiency increases with number of active threads, to the degree that if I run 50% of threads, I may as well run them all. Something that did occur to me was that I forgot to look at estimated completion time, but that may be meaningless since sample duration was significantly shorter than WU duration. Frequencies were around 4.2 regardless, though, so that may not even matter. Power numbers grabbed from CPU Package Power via HWINFO64.

Have mostly not been crunching lately, due to the insane energy prices here in the UK (we're supposedly one of the richest countries in the world, but our energy prices have been the highest in the world). Cost is going down about 20% in July (still too high), and combined with no longer needing the heating on (it was on very low over the winter, all I could afford), I hope to soon be crunching again. Might do a day on and a day off, see how that goes.

Cannot say I blame you at all, prices are high and the only time I do my crunching now is whenever the solar is producing enough to help with the rising costs... I believe the cap from June or is it July, is 30p/kW for electric and 8p/kW for gas.. Not a massive saving I don't think and I don't believe its the best they could do but opinions aside, I am very grateful for anyone crunching, however much they do, as I've always said

The price goes down on July 1. Standing charges aren't going down significantly, but unit prices are. For a typical user, costs will reduce by around 20%, but we all use more than a typical amount

Use more energy, you save more compared to today, use less you save less. I'm topping up my prepayment meters ready for another bad winter, not going to freeze again!

I believe we won't notice that big of a drop since they have capped it for us that said, from what it should be to what it is, is a bit different.
I'm lucky to have meters and not pre payment ones, I know the rates are slightly different and a little more expensive

Sadly so @Canned Noodles ... Both my rigs have got nowhere returning the work they have completed and I don't think they are getting anything sent down to them either... From what I've seen, its a data center issue... According to the post on Facebook....

I think I posted something up in the daily thread but here is it again for the moment. I don't use Facebook anymore so I don't log in but that's all the page is said, was a day ago now... I couldn't see anything on Twitter without signing up and I'm not going to do that lol

I had a few jobs left on my Linux PC that I completed and uploaded some hours ago so something is working. But they still sit as completed and still no new jobs are issued.

I've not been able to upload any stats for todays WCG daily totals or the stats so I'm guessing it'll be a massive upload when it starts back up again...

I've been getting some uploaded, but they are still showing in my list of work to do as they've not moved from the 100% ready to report or whatever stage it is
