Hi all
I will be upgrading to i7 and I have still not decided on mothermoard! Till now I have Core i7 965EE and 6GB 1600MHz PATRIOT LLK. Thinking for an ASUS P6T Deluxe v2 but will consider other models as well!
Any Ideas? BTW what is the difference between P6T Deluxe and P6T Deluxe v2?

All good boards, I wouldn't get an Asus though they kinda suck for x58.

My Asus Rampage II Gene was a damn good board, how do you come to that conclusion, I hit 4.1Ghz on my C0 920 with that board, hell of a good bios on it, and better than my current board :(

I would have to disagree. I've owned a few Genes and each has had components on the board die shortly after overclocking, and that never even happened with my other ASUS boards which were bios starved. In comparison the manufacturers listed by DarkEgo above have performed above and beyond the low standard set by ASUS.

Though he forgot one gem.

Foxconn - Bloodrage GTI

Version 2 is far superior to the first version. Oh if you want a POS get the first version lol. Still don't go ASUS.

I'm not saying there the best boards out there just saying I had a different experience, and for you to have "several" Gene boards die after overclocking seems to be just plain unlucky, although the NB did get toasty on them aside from that I never had any bad experience with it in the 3-4 months I ran it and I did push it a fair bit. In my exp Asus have never really let me down on any socket, I'm not reccommending he go and buy an Asus board, but by no means are they an inferior brand

I have been crunching with the Asus Rampage II Gene and Asus P6T Deluxe v2 with 100% load 24/7 @4.0GHz without any problems at all so I would recommend either one.
Or another good choice might be the Asus P6TD Deluxe which has the newer B3 Rev. X58 chipset.

I think the Foxconn Bloodrage is pretty nice for the price, I don't really like boards without integrated sound though. I'm sure any of the EVGA x58 boards would be really good.

I've had 13 x58 motherboards total. Each except for every ASUS board aside from my RIIE sucked in comparison to the other boards I tried. It may be luck, but I highly doubt that. Come and match my OCs and also get the same scores in benchmarks and I'll gladly retract my statements, but can you say with certainty that your boards can take a i7 920 to 4.7GHz? Every evga board, gigabyte, and the Foxconn Bloodrage GTI have been able to for me.

Like Binge, I've been through several different 1366 boards, including Asus, Asrock, Biostar, Foxconn, and 2 different Gigabyte boards. They have all generally clocked about the same. The differences have been in the bios options and layout and how the boards recover from bad overclock attempts. For these reasons, I personally prefer the Gigabyte boards, particularly the UD5.

he can also choose the ud4p or the extreme as they are based on the same pcb and thus, having a similiar if not the same bios

one of the cool things of the Bloodrage GTI is the excellent X-Fi sound card that comes with the mobo. It may not be the ultimate X-Fi but it is really nice since it comes free with the mobo.

I beat the crap out of mine, soldered on it, changed stuff and it still works great. The 2 seperate bios chips are nice (especially if you mess one up)

I agree, it is a good mb but the warranty is not up to par with the E758. If you do much OCing with it you will appreciate that limited lifetime warranty. ;)

OK So after some phone calls to local distributors I could found Good prices on:

Asus P6T Deluxe v2
EVGA X58 SLI LE
Biostar T-Power X58 (not the X58A model)

What to choose?
I personally like the ASUS because I have been with ASUS MBs for a long time and didn't have problems. The EVGA is a little cheaper than the ASUS but have 12 phase power regulation and the ASUS have 16 Phase. The Biostar is a good choice acording to many but as a Distributor of Biostar I know that their quality is not very good!
Any thouhts on theese 3 mobos?

Excuse my English!

But Is the "LE" better than ASUS's "Deluxe"?

And lets not forget that I'll be using Core i7 965EE on the mobo!
