A-Data - They just suck at everything including their memory

I completely agree, A-Data is nothing special. Even their gaming memory sucks balls. I'm going to stay away from them for sure.

Another HUGE, STAY AWAY FROM is ANY MACINTOSH. STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THE DARKSIDE!

I can't think of any brand that I've bought from in the past and wouldn't buy agian. There are those that I will stay away from because of how terribly shitty they are such as Powmax, but I've never actually bought anything from Powmax so that isn't really relavent.

Will buy:

Artic Cooling - They've always delivered at a low-low cost. I've had a bunch of VGA coolers, CPU coolers and some fans. Not the best, but for the price they're really nice.

Club3D
- A lot of my graphic cards have been Club3D because they're cheap. And they've worked, my x800RX (just a rebranded x800GT) overclocked like a monster.

Hewlett Packard computers - I've actually bought a couple of these to family and friends. They're cheap and suprisingly reliable.

Will not buy:

Anything Packard Bell - My brother has a couple of computers from them, and they're all buildt like a dungheap on fire, they're expensive (Dell, HP, Acer you name it are cheaper) and just bad. He also bought an external HDD which bricked after like 3 months. Seriously, that company is from hell.

i will buy any brand again but

Brands I will be cautious of in the future
Asus/nvidia motherboards - I got excellent performance but poor stability
OCZ RAM - needed to re write the SPD for it to reliably boot on a 680i board
Corsair dominator fan - noisy POS

Brands I am very pleased with
Logitech - I have a G15, G5 and a head set. All work wonderfully.
Intel processors - I have done some bad things to my CPU's and they all still work
Gigabyte motherboards - I like the colours and board layout, easy to set up.

I will never buy again Creative labs. speakers and headphones products...

I will never buy again Intel branded motherboards, better buy ASUS or Gigabyte branded motherboards.

I will never buy again ASUS LCD Monitors the overall image quality is very poor compared to other brands.

Then some Revoltec products like the 3.5 fan controller, looks good but if you connect a generic 120mm fan in, your fan become very noisy at low speed.

Schyte Ultra kaze fan's a hell of noise fan's low and high speeds buzzing clipping shit.

OCZ gold Edition RAM memories they are built in mass, and many are defected.

I will buy always ... :

Creative soundcards because they are the number 1 in that.

Asus motherboards It seems like a different planet compared to my old Intel BadAxe 2.

Samsung LCD Monitors, best image quality for a good price.

Logitech peripherals, keyboard, speakers and mouse number one in that ( Razer is second for me ).

EVGA video cards... are the best in the industry of VGA

I have always had from my EVGA first GeForce 7800 GS AGP - 8800 Ultra - GTX 295

Thermaltake PSU's high quality very quiet and efficient PSU's ever.

Noctua Fan's simply amazing ( except the color )

Biostar motherboards. I bought a Socket 754 from them a few years ago and within three months the capacitor whine got so bad I did a completely new build just to get rid of it. It was so loud I could hear it over the fans and speakers.

Coolermaster cases. This Stacker Evolution 830 was the biggest p.i.t.a. to assemble of any case I've ever owned. Once I fixed the various misaligned parts it looks very nice and has good air flow, but the day I spend fighting with it isn't worth it. The fact it was damned expensive for the quality was just salt in the wound. I'll stick to Antec from now on (which was the brand I had always used up to that point).

ASSrock - everytime I try their products it bites me in the ass.

That's too bad to hear. I had an issue with my motherboard - their customer service was fast and helpful. My replacement board works just fine.

A-Data - They just suck at everything including their memory

I haven't had any issues with their RAM that I have. In fact, the RAM worked great for OC'ing my last CPU. I took my AMD 64 X2 5600+ (Windsor) from stock 2.81 to 3.15. The second core on that CPU just wouldn't work at a stable performance over that speed, no matter how much cooling, voltage or RAM tweaking I tried. I was hoping to hit 3.2 - 3.3....

It's a shame to see others dislike something that's worked good for me so far - aside from the hiccup I had to deal with on my first ASRock motherboard.

Some brands I would definitely buy again from:
ASUS P5Q Pro, HD 4830 and a 790GX in my HTPC, all incredibly solid overclockers/performers.
AMD Been treating me right since my first K6 rig
Crucial Love the memory I have now, my dad has some crucial DDR3 for his I7 rig and they're beasts
MSI The board I have now has its quirks.. but it's stable and very good for everything but extreme OCing
Razer Awesome mice and headsets
Nvidia I used to love nvidia, but ATi's HD 2000 and onward have been so awesome

Also to add to my hated list(I'm a vengeful bastard)
Creative drivers for Vista/7 are fucking pathetic
Envision their monitors really suck in my opinion

Besides GPU ive actually never had harware failure except maybe a samsung HDD, but that was because of abuse.

iCute - Stay away from this brand!!. No support at all. All response is.. "we are busy for Computex 2009..." what's that ?? I understand Computex is important but iCute should have someone to support customers.

I purchase iCute iBox and iCute PSU (Titanium). iCute iBox is a small mini-ATX case with bad design. The problem is Titanium PSU Modular version cannot fit within iCute iBox. Non-Modular version is barely fit in iCute iBox. The case space is very bad design. It seems iCute Engineer calculate size and space shorten than it should be for 1-2 inch. This mistake cause the case lack of air flow, very hard to install harddisk bay and make this looking good case becomes a horrible case I had been ever know in my life.

Next, harddisk bay is very tiny and scratch my harddisk badly during I install harddisk and nearly peel my harddisk's warranty void off!. iCute iBox specification said it can support 2 harddisk. That's shame because it cannot bearly support only 1 harddisk at all. Combine this weakness with the case size problem cause very hard to install both PSU and Hardidsk! I can't believe why they design case like this.

Moreover, front panel is very lousy. USB port is very low quanlity. Sometime it cause my device "USB device is not recognize." while I test my same device at my friend's home and it's work fine!
(I tested the same device at backend usb panel and it work fine as well.)

I will recommend my friend to stay away from this brand forever until I receive any useful support from them.

I never say i won't ever buy from a company again, as even if they have wronged me i know i'll end up going back if the competition lets me down in a significant enough way.

Brands i am currently pissed off with:
Creative. Driver issues when vista launched and then their pci-e card didn't work in my new rig no matter what i did and they gave no support.
Apple. I am fed up with having to contact their support on behalf of my friend who's macbook pro keeps crashing and losing their entire itunes library. I won't contact them again.
Lenovo. Had a t60 while i was an intern at IBM last year and i needed 2 new screens and a new mobo because of heat problems in the damned thing. I think it was a model specific issue and i will still reccomend their laptops to anyone who wants a very well built machine but im still bitter with their poor design in the t60p.

Brands i will definately buy from again:
Logitech. I have a g15 (original), a G7, a G9, a couple of joysticks and some Z5500s and they all work beautifully, never had an issue that wasn't due to excessive wear and abuse.
Asus. Had asus mobos for years and never had a single problem other than 1 doa board, which i put down to bad luck. The xonar d2x in my rig atm is a brilliant piece of kit as well.
HP. Got a tx2520ea tablet laptop and it's brilliant, it gets a little warm but other than that it works wonderfully.
Acer. Had my f20 ips panel monitor for a few years now, continuous use and not a single dead pixel. The backlight is also still almost perfect.
Enermax. My first high end psu is my galaxy 850 (bought it 2 years ago). It's brilliant - quiet, not too warm and provides more than enough power for my rig.

Scan Computers International Ltd (Scan) - who I will NEVER buy from again. my RMA with them has been an ongoing battle. I have been waiting for my replacement parts for over 10 days. & their policy is that they give you back a card of same spec (& maybe value??? - but that wasnt mentioned until i asked) the 4870 1gb toxics - out of stock with no ETA. Ive been on the phone with them twice & just now i tried to get the 4870 upgraded to a 2Gb 4870 Vapor-X which they were gonna charge me an extra £25 ontop for. I said BITCH!! I paid £220 for my 1gb toxic when i bought it. the 2gb is under £193 i dont have to pay for shit because you still owe me money. after some more banter i was put on hold & then the guy came back & told me they were out of stock when it clearly states they do have stock on their website. - Im camping right on the 2gb 4870 page & it says IN STOCK. so he puts me on hold again & comes back after a few mins stating that my original card will be in the next 2-3days so i could have it in by friday or next monday/tuesday.....BUT WAIT!!! THERES MOAR!!!!!! my 'replacement' Biostar I45 is also OUT OF STOCK with no ETA which means No im not gonna get fuck all by next week. - just because you RMA an item doesnt mean they will reserve an item for you.

NEVER buy from them - while the stuff works its great. but when shit goes wrong they will fuck you around big style just to keep hold of your money & just because your replacement costs less then what you originaly paid wont entitle you to money back.

im pissed off

Biostar - Horrible quality boards. The TA790GX3 I had was a joke, the layout was shocking, use anything but a small GPU and you lose 3 SATA ports immediately, which isn't great when I'm looking to get a 4th HDD.
The BIOS was buggy as sin, and I kept getting told "it's our first line, they will get better". Bollocks, if it's not right, don't release it, and if you do, don't try to fob me off with such a lame excuse.

Creative - 3 sets of speakers that ALL had the volume control go faulty. the Volume control HAD to be plugged in to get sound, so I'm now on the 4th set, and I just soldered the wires in the Volume control so it's always at 100%. Luckily they are now only used for my Zune, but still. £80 speakers that are worse build quality then my £60 Logitech X540s.

On the bright-side. Asus is back in my good books after 3 Socket A motherboards all dying within 3 months of each other. Had a brilliant response from them in regards to fixing the Maximus II Formula I got from Moonpig, just awaiting a reply from their HQ, but the reps were polite, very helpful and friendly.

I have to say fits that SAMSUNG have done me a few favours, okay sure the first ever SAMSUNG drive i bought was dead on arrival but i got refunded and a replacement sent free of charge turned out to be a F1 750gb. Then that got a sector error, they sent a new drive free UPS. Decent company will do a lot for the customer at least in the UK.

EZCOOL, sure i still have a nice EZCOOL psu in my old house but damn they stink EZCOOL make PSU and CASES. The one psu i have is a miracle still works fine shitty spec tho, but ive had 2 blow up on me before one was in a bundle so i kinda had to take it other was a quick jobbie replacement.

NO WAY AGAIN.

Creative are so half arsed, rubbish company that was king of sound back in the day and still thinks it is but now are just nothing special average and have driver issues and the hardware is rubbish too.

I've seen these threads before.

Think enough people know of OcUK - albeit not a brand so I won't go into details.

Unlucky on the RMA Freedom - if you moan enough they'll give you want you want.

this thread is starting to be diluted with people who make poor decisions not companies that make poor products I think every single company has been bashed.

I've seen these threads before.

Think enough people know of OcUK - albeit not a brand so I won't go into details.

Unlucky on the RMA Freedom - if you moan enough they'll give you want you want.

yeah, been getting some advice with the RMA so, If i do have to call them by tuesday which looks highly probable at this stage unless they somehow find a hidden Biostar I45 somewhere in a dark corner of their shop & reserve it for me. I wont be so patient & understanding... Just going through the Sale Of Goods Act 1979. their policy stinks, I dont want to kick up a fuss but they do have £300+ worth of goods that i paid for which currently seems in limbo since they are waiting for BOTH items to be back in stock instead of sending it out 1 package at a time. which means my order has been suspended indefinitely until they can get BOTH items in stock at the same time & last week i checked they still had the I45 in stock.

this thread is starting to be diluted with people who make poor decisions not companies that make poor products I think every single company has been bashed.

Got a point there. I don't expect full-sized reviews on products, but DOA's simply happen.

I'd like to see more argumentation than "it died" or "it sucks".
