I'm randomly musing about things, trying to figure out what I can snag on a limited budget. Here's a few things I'd like to get.
- Some inexpensive DDR2 desktop memory. Don't really care about the speed or capacity too much, just need it to test stuff.
- S775 motherboard, preferably uATX with DDR3 support (though not totally a dealbreaker if it's DDR2)
- An ATX12V power supply. Nothing fancy, but would prefer at least one PCIe connector just in case. 400w-ish should be fine.
- A current low profile video card, preferably a 5570 or a GT430 on the cheap. I *may* consider a Radeon 4650 or similar if it's exceptionally cheap.
- I'm dreaming, but I'd like to grab a Nook Color. Again, cost is key, since if I really wanted to spend the money I'd just take a trip down to B&N and buy one retail.
- **inexpensive** 1TB+ SATA drives. If you can't tell, I'm sort of building a server.
- *CHEAP* SD card. 2GB+, size/speed doesn't matter much, just need something for my daughter's camera that she got for xmas.
- AAA NiMH rechargable batteries. Need at least two, but could definitely use more.
- Coolermaster GeminiiS or similar QUIET low profile heatsink with LGA1156 support. The stock intel sink is just a bit too loud.
Check back occasionally, as I may be looking for something else in the near future.
