If there is any lasercuts, reconnect them.
Then you´ll have 12 pipelines. Also there is no need to update the bios since there is no pipelines hidden by the bios.

how can be done this? someone wrote that i must link the core and the pipe avoiding the laser cut by making it around it? is it true? sounds like bullshit. Dolf said about unsoldering and soldering the resistors what you thinks about it?
Thanks

If your card has a R423 core the lasercut are in the upper right corner.
I use Bison Electro silverpaint to connect the bridges. The Bison paint is designed for repairing traces, so it is the best solution. It also has almost equal condutivity compared to solder so it is far much better than a pencil.

Thanks Bro

One last think, my core and mem are both at 500 mhz by default, Ati tool showing that my mem working without artifacts at around 525mhz and my core at about 610mhz, what frequence should i choose for them when flashing my bios? And what you can say me for the resistors that Dolf mentioned about?

Thanks alot

when you're flashing your bios, it won't really matter, since the new bios will put the clock speeds to whatever the new bios was from, but you want to put your card back to stock speeds before trying it with the lazer cut reconnected, and then find the maxes again.

Good luck ;)

ATITool can display fuses for X700 and X8x0 series cards.
RV410 core has physically only 8 pipelines and 6 vertex shader units, and you have all of them in use already. Nothing to unlock there. If you want more pipelines, get a X800 series card.

I don´t think your PCIe-Slot is burned. Just try it to put there again. Maybe it was needed to do a ForceRefresh or something like that.

I have a Connect3d GTO, I ordered it on 11/25/03 and it arrived on 11/30/05 I've seen some people with the card saying they could unlock 16 pixel pipes a couple days later and I hope I made the cut. When looking at the my fuses and compairing it to the techpowerup fuses it didn't match so that got my hopes a little down. I've overclocked it to 540/560 and scored 5557 on 3dmark05 and I love this card compaired to my MX440... I'll show a screenshot of my fuses. I heard theres a hardmod and a lasercut? Can someone clarify this to me cause I'm not really sure what the lasercut means. I haven't tried to flash it yet cause I heard if my card isn't moddable it might ruin it.

ATI winflash Blue screen

Hey guys,

I am trying to flash my 16 pipe modded card back to the dumped bios with ATI winflash. SO I downloaded ATI winflash and went to start it, but I get an error...kind of looked like the Blue screen of death. It said it had an error with the .sys file. Is there another program I can use to flash back without loosing the 16 pipes!!!!???

TIA

CAMsoup:

make a ms-dos startup disk, and download atiflash, and put that on the floppy disk. Then get the dumped bios and put that on the floppy disk, restart with the floppy disk in the drive, and it should boot from it (if not, change the boot settings in the bios) and type the following:

atiflash -f -p [yourbios.bin]

if you can't remember exactly what you called your bios, type 'dir' and hit enter and it will list all the files on the disk.

x800GT

Not sure if anything can be done with this x800GT PCIe card. It is reporting as 423 128mb. Any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated?

Yep that'd unlockable. There's 16 pipes available for that core, and there doesn't appear to be a lazer cut, so if you can find a bios for it, go ahead and get those extra pipes! :D

ShadowFlare is excelent at modding bioses to 16 pipes, so, if you could add your bios as an attachment in your next post, i'm sure he'll be able to help.

If your unsure about getting your bios, it's in the miscellaneous section of ATITool 'save vga bios to file'
