Zalman Zmachine GV1000 +HD3850/3870
Looks that i got lucky , and got today on eBAY (before few minutes) ,
one second hand GV1000 .
Even if my system has zero issues about heat , i truly like to see how better this cooler can do the job .
Yes, reviews tell the truth , and about 7-10C drop on core , are expected to happen .
But what i care most , is not the drop , its the fan its self .
Did any one try to use the cards power plug ?
Zalman uses their own rpm - voltage controller ,
but i am thinking to cut wires , and connect the fan on the VGA, as the original fan was connected.
I am looking to find the DC motor similarity s , so to be 100% confident , that this change will not cause damage .
Does any one know the DC motor specs of the HD3850 ?
Any tips are welcome .
