I got this CPU last week and as of yet cannot OC it by any means! No matter how slight the OC it crashes my pc on windows boot. I tried going into the bios and amd Overdrive.

Any thoughts ?

I have the same mobo and got my 9850 to 3.1 from 2.5. Are you just changing the multiplier?

I tried everything. Changed the FSB in Bios and tried AMD Overdrive. ANY OC at all locks up my system on boot :(

Try testing your ram with Memtest or something like that.

Everything has been tested! Everything runs lovely on stock settings. Any OC will result in lock ups or crash restart!

You updated the bios? Go back to an earlier one if the newest is giving you crap.

Tried to go back to bios version 1.7 but that didnt work. Tried the flash utility on forums..but again that wont work for me either. I have 2 of these mobos and im thinking RMA them both, even try to get a refund if possible.Its either the mobo or the CPU.

either way im about done!
