DX 11 will be with WIN 7.... I will be getting Win 7 anyways.. and I'm sure they'll last longer than DX 10 cards that are compatible with 11

Yeah, Sapphire has been doing that with the last few series of ATi cards. The Atomic comes first, then the VaporX version. It most likely won't come at 1ghz core (but maybe), but offers different cooling design.

I called power color in california today concerning the plus plus version. Thats the 1010 core on their web site. The marketing person said that it was being marketed in europe only. the information on the web site says different. Who knows, powercolor cant stand by and watch the comp. release 1ghz+ cards after another!

I've been watching Newegg for the past month solid, waiting for some price drops on a 4890 and finally decided on a HIS 4890 for 197.00 after all discounts and promo codes plus free S&H...and then today I see the Sapphire Atomic for 299.00 and read here that a Vapor-X version will soon be on the way.......knew I should have waited a bit longer..... :banghead:

you can always keep waiting for the next best thing.... a stock 4890 is still a kick ass card

flash the asus bios onto it to change voltages , and get a nice custom cooler on it, you will be able to get 950ish on the core which is still great.

Benchmarking soon I hope. The toxic should overclock to 1050Mhz core at least. It will be interesting to see how the DDR5 memory will overclock. Let us know...
