Win7 Left 4 Dead texture problem

Ever since I upgraded to Win7 all the textures in L4D are rather low. I cant even make out Frances tattoos anymore. Also the fonts in CoD:WaW are blurry now. Anyone else having these issues?

Definitely odd...I have neither issue, though I did a fresh install (I just keep my games and stuff on a seperate partition, just re-run steam.exe and all my games are good). Maybe update DX again and do a clean vid driver install?

Problem fix: Apparently Windows 7 installed its own 4800 series drivers that were conflicting with the updated drivers I installed. I removed all drivers via the "Erocker Method" and reinstalled the drivers with full success. Everything is back to normal now.
