I have a Sapphire ATi X1950GT in my 2nd rig.
At the moment im keeping the case open and have kept a pedestal fan in front of it.
With the fan the GPU temperature reaches a max of 58 C when playing games. But I dont want to keep a huge pedestal fan right in front of the PC so i want to find a different cooling solution cause im really broke. lol.
Without the pedestal fan the GPU Temperature hits about 57 C on idle and hits about 66 C when playing a game. Also i've increased the Fan Speed on the 3D card to a 100%
Ive got 2 spare case fans (80mm). Any advice how i can drop the temperatures.
Another forum said that if you keep a case fan or intel stock fan on top on the 3D card it will drop the temp. Well it did when its on idle but yet again when playing a game the temp still reaches 65 C+.
I use this rig to play Lan with my friends. The thing im worried about is that 2 days ago after playing Call Of Duty 4 on Multiplayer for about 2 hours without the pedestal fan the graphic textures started to get corrupted.
So please give a few cooling solutions.
All temperatures were measured by TechPowerUp GPU-Z 0.3.7
