No more DirectX 9 card support under 7

pretty much, yes.

The only exception being fixes for specific games (as a poor example, ATI allowing AA in batman arkham asylum via driver updates)

Then again, one could argue these old cards are too weak for such modern titles, therefore no need to update their drivers.

Yes but I didn`t said that I want to play new games , I only want it to work on w7 . that`s what pisses me :)

But surely the cards DO work on windows 7 at the moment? they wouldn't just kill compatibility, they aren't nvidia.

It will work fine on Windows 7. The current drivers work perfectly fine.
What me and mussels are saying is that the drivers have matured to the point where they cant get any better. ATI not providing any more drivers doesnt mean that its going to kill the ones that are already released... (theyre still going to be availible)

They work fine, I can confirm that. I dont understand what you mean by referencing nVidia though, they have'nt stopped any support yet.

Maybe I'm not understanding properyl.... I'm quite drunk right now... Hope I made myself clear, lol. ;)

the nvidia reference was just a lil' dig at nvidia cutting physX acceleration when a card is SLi's with an ati card :) although i think they 'fixed' that anyway :)
