Very nice, i'm lovin the system requirements.:) Hopefully my i7 build is done by then.

But that price is BS, they can keep the additional content. I just want it at a solid $50. But w/e.

Can't wait.:)

You can thank MW2 for that.

I have trouble getting interested in a game that's releasing SOOOO late for the PC compared to the consoles.

why's it taken so long to be released on PC :S
Can't wait to play it though

Look up the word "Afterthought" in any dictionary and you'll have your answer.

I hope there's visual improvements over the console at least to justify this.

Probably will have greater texture resolution and definitely AA support. The First Assassin's Creed also had amazing support for DX10.1 which made AA look better and run faster on ATI hardware but that was patched over right after release since Nvidia sponsored the game but didnt have DX10.1 hardware. That's when I cut bait on the whole AC series and pretty much any future Ubisoft titles.

nvidia made them patch out dx10.1 support??? wow that is lame.

It can't be proven but the patch did remove the features and the features are highly favorable to ATI.

I loved the first assassin's creed for the ps3 but havn't gotten around to getting the second one. i know it will look better for PC, but I bet I can buy it used from GameStop for like $30.

I almost forgot about that one! ;) I'll wait a couple of months for it tho, I'm broke!

The only reason why 10.1 exists is because NVIDIA couldn't implement all features of DirectX 10. DirectX 10 was released which ATI and NVIDIA could support and DirectX 10.1 was released a little later which ATI supported up until 2009 when NVIDIA got their first 10.1 cards out (over a year late).

Seems they are having the same problem with dx11:laugh:

really? does anyone have evidence of any of this other than hearsay? i mean patched out? nvidia cards cant do DX 10? honestly i think DX10.1 was more marketing to get the "hiher number better people" on board with ATI's sales seeing as by DX10 time their sales were plummiting. or maybe we can keep this about assassins creed. your call.

Ubisoft said:
In addition to addressing reported glitches, the patch will remove support for DX10.1, since we need to rework its implementation. The performance gains seen by players who are currently playing Assassin’s Creed with a DX10.1 graphics card are in large part due to the fact that our implementation removes a render pass during post-effect which is costly.

No, DX10.1 is definitley better, Nivida couldnt event do DX10 fully to begin with (it was emulated) and yes dx 10.1 was patched out of Assassins Creed, and yes 10.1 run alot better than dx10 in assassins creed :)

sources confirmed. statments. or bust. NOT chain mesesages posted on the front page of tech sites that originated at fud or IQ

were did nvidia pay them to remove that?

btw we are mad O/T you can PM me.

It had DX10.1 then they patched it and removed DX10.1. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out what happen.

play nice and keep this about AC1

I enjoyed AC2 (for the xbox360 of course) can't wait to see it on PC with extra stuff tho.

Lol emulated DX10 my ass :roll::roll:

When AC1 was released i had dual 4870s and i saw absolutely no difference between those in 10.1 and a 280 with DX10 besides the 280 bustin balls over both 4870s.

lol 60 bucks = no sale to me.
I will not buy a a game above 50.
It's a ripoff to do otherwise and just makes them think they can get away with it.
I'll wait til it goes to 40 now just to be an ass..lol..
and I wanted that too, but I'm still going to wait.

Yep, we can all thank MW2 for the new price standard of $60 for PC games.

I personally think that MW2 was (well) worth the $60, and AC2 is justified as well because of the included content, but it would be nice for them to offer a "Basic" version for $45-50 without the DLC.
