My sister asked me to build her a cheap computer for her(general use maybe some stuff for collage) and her son (gaming mostly) he's 10.
Budget was for as low as I can get it(was hoping for 500ish).
So I put this together real fast and wanted to see if anyone sees any problems or waste.
She has a monitor, mouse,kb and speakers
I have a stock PII x4 940 cooler....will that work on the PII x3 720? also got some paste
So let me know what you guys think.

If you cant see it shipping comes out to 2.99
(will prob order tonight or tomorrow)

Get a cheaper PSU and swap the 4670 for a 4770.

If I were you I'd take a look at combo deals.

Why the coolermaster centurian 5 and not a cheaper case, also a corsair 650w is way overkill, a corsair 450w will do the trick and then some, aside from that not too bad.

I picked the 650 in case she wanted to upgrade later (better cpu and vid card) the 450 is only 20 cheaper.
Didn't have time to cheack combo deals cause was in a hurry
I picked the case cause I know it somewhat and it had free shipping >_>

dude if shes not oc and heat isn't going to be a problem go get a case on ebay, you can pick up cases there for practically nothing plus shipping.. im sure you can find one that a girl will like, i dont think girls are into the whole black case with blue lights thing..

or here is a Case AND 450 watt PSU for 30 dollars shipped (with warranty), hard time beating that, normally id say get a better PSU, but for a sub 500 dollar computer, that doesn't overclock and uses almost no electricity i say save the cash

that will take your total down 130 dollars im sure shell be happy about that

here you go girls like small cutesy things lol (joke)

I didnt use Ebay cause you never know what you'll get and she wanted something decent so I picked stuff I had looked at be for from newegg.
She panicked me cause she wanted to order it RIGHT then so I threw it up here real fast to see if there were any probs.
So I didnt look through combo deals but for the price I think she got a nice computer.
Thanks for all your input

This is the build i would go for:
a 4850 1GB would be plenty for all her gaming need if she plays widescreen resolution or something.
A 640GB WD green is only $4 more so why not?? same speed as the blue so i don't see any issue.
I am guessing your sister wouldn't like the NZXT gamma case because it looks "monstrous" but hey its a good case for its price just throw in 2 120mm fans if you got any spares.
The ram has lower CAS Latency than the Corsair aswell so i would go for those OCZ.

Good build just a few things I would change.

The RAM has got to go. I am not a big fan of Corsair RAM. Ive had TONS of sticks go bad.
The OS needs to be 64-bit. That should be the standard now.
GPU I would swap. See if you can find a really cheap 5xxx card. Why? Just for DX11.

that's just not right i have ordered tens of thousands of dollars of electronics of ebay, and i have yet to have a single problem, even if you do have a problem your guaranteed to get your money back if you complain
