AMD's ATI add-in-board partners (AIBs) will be ready with non-reference design graphics cards based on the Radeon HD 5830 GPU as soon as the GPU is announced, on the 25th, later this month. A few of them are pictured below. Not all of them seemed to be factory-overclocked, but do seem so come with impressive GPU coolers. To begin with, Gigabyte reused its Radeon HD 5870 SuperOverclock design for its HD 5830 card, which boasts of Ultra Durable VGA construction (2 oz copper layer PCB, ferrite core chokes, low RDS (on) MOSFETs, and "Tier 1 GDDR5 memory chips").

Next up, is the Sapphire HD 5830. Its board design resembles non-reference design HD 5850 accelerators. PowerColor joins the league with a PCS+ HD 5830 right away. Again, a reuse of its PCS+ board for HD 5850 and HD 5870. While the card by HIS isn't pictured, its box shot shows that the company will offer a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game bundle with its HD 5830. XFX also has its box pictured.

Stop bashing a perfectly good game and get back on topic.

Lets hope this card is as successful as the 4830 was coming after the 4850 (came so close to buying a pair of the 30's myself, apparently they are beasts in crossfire). And, as we all know, XFX will have the best cooler design

This could be good if the price is right. Somewhere in the £150 range perhaps? Is it confirmed as having 1120SPs? 1280 would be nice! Would bring it in-line with the 50 and 70 as well step-wise. But then again 1120 is 320 more than a 5770 and 320 less than a 5850 so I guess that works too. :)

MW2 is that the game where you constantly look on a lobby and listen to german children getting an orgasm ?

Seriously is this much faster than 8800gts 512?

mmmmmm super overclock 58XX's...... *drool*

I don't... know if that's the same game we're talking about.

That being said, MW2 is a horrible game that's full of cheaters and anyone who plays it is a stupid-head.

THAT being said, I actually like that these different cards that ATI is releasing actually have different numbers of shaders that are pretty much in line with their model numbers. Makes it easy for the consumer.

Yeah, as long as it's got the 256-bit memory like the rest of the 5800 series, it'll be worth the money. $200-230~ would be nice.

Finally the card i've been waiting on!! lets hope the price is decent here in Canada.

I'm curious to see if this has a similar (almost identical) PCB layout as the 5850, that way we will know what heatsinks work and which don't!

Identical PCB layouts, identical everything to most other non-reference HD 5800 series designs. Maybe some boards could have cheaper 4 GT/s memory chips, that's all.

Mmmm, something in between 5770 and 5830.

some review samples are on 5870 pcb, some custom aib parts are on 5770 pcb, and the rest are custom pcbs similar to 5850, but with cheap-0 voltage hardware.

Ok,ill bite. Will there be any "unlockable" treats to come out of these 5830s?

BTA could you do this style of news post more often?

Much more neat and tidy and easy access then a thread for each Brand :D

Cards are looking good : ]

By the way, MW2 has single player too guys, which is actually rather good.
