Hello.. last year i bought the game : Fifa 09 and because I'm a soccer fan I played it allot but recently my computer had to be restored because of a virus. And because i played the game allot i left it out of its case allot but now when i want to install it it has a error because its scratched somewhat....so what i was wondering is if i can some how install it without the disk because i have all the files on the disk, so i was wondering if some how you could drag them off and install the game without them??

Thanks in advance

Create a folder for them and if you can drag all the files off the disc into the folder and just run setup, though clean it first, if your getting an error when installing its likely you wont be able to drag and drop all the files as its not reading the disc. Clean it forst gently, a cotton cloth should be sufficient and then try ;)

I have a very old game that is scratched to hell.... I've found that one of my drives can't deal with it, but the other is fine.

Carnuba car wax works well in some cases, it fills in the gaps. You'll need to apply a few times ans buff well with a very soft, clean cloth.

THANKS SO MUCH IT WORKED YOUR THE BEST

You can always take it down to gamestop and have them buff the scratches out for you. Or, theres the home remedy... take it to the sink, get it wet and sprinkle it with comet, then take a moist sponge and work it in a curcular motion. Keep doing this until the deep scratches are gone. You should be left with a ton of much smaller scratches, but it should read the disc because the big scratches are gone. I've seen my uncle do it before, it works.
