Water Cooling loop for my 470

im not even on water yet. and you have 5850s those run cool already. seriously you dont pay attention to nvidia stuff apparently their fermi chips run pretty hot but not as hot as what it was made out to be at first but they still do run pretty high up there. and then you stick them on water and they will never break 50c at 850mhz which still pisses all over your 5850s

what angle fittings should i get for my 470?

I think i might switch the radiator to a Black Ice XtremeIII X flow 360 rad to save money. I wont loose to much on the cooling side i would think. I also heard having the fittings on each side of the radiator can make the appearance of the loop more pleasing

I will also probably get 2 45 degree feser compression fittings for my 470

I like swiftech they have really nice rads . I would use clear tubing then add colored coolant to it or UV coolant . But I hope you post pics I want to see it when you are done .

That rad is overkill for two 470's. A 120.2 double pass rad will do just fine. Put some high pressure fans on it that can move some air and your golden.

That EK block isn't a bad choice either an alternative would be the Danger Den block or Koolance.

Koolance blocks are very restrictive and i dont like the look of the danger den blocks

And im getting a 360 rad just in case i ever put my cpu on water

oh man. Swiftech rads are okay but they arent "really nice". Also i will never ever make my coolant colored with dye. that just destroys your blocks and makes your tubing really nasty and scum will build up in your rads which makes you have to clean your loop every month or 2. While using distilled water and PT Nuke last longer and doesnt build up any of that crap

Well I beg to differ with you they sell all kind of colored coolant JUST FOR liquid cooling . I am not sure if you thought that I meant add food coloring now that would be bad for sure .

What do you think this is for ? Any way I think that Swiftech make a great product though I can only talk from what I have as I have not had any other rads but swiftech . Not a problem yet been in for about 1 year now still looks great and keeps things going good .

It does nothing but stain and goop up in innards of your water cooling loop. Plain old distilled water is best.

I used white, looks great with the white stripes on my GB mobo. If I were you Id go red to accent the Color of the EVGA or black.

God thats such a hard choice! with black it would be to much black. With red, idk i just dont really like the color red. its fine with my classified because its just a tiny bit

Yah, that's all I use, with a kill coil, no PT. It's just surprising to hear something that seems so far from recommended lore.

Here is mine, as you can see it was due to the mobo that I went white There is grey/silver?!?!?!
