Hi, wanted to flash my Sapphire HD 6870 to the HIS OC Version. Im using the latest atiflash, and booting into dos mode, it cannot find the card, says "Adaptor not found". Never had this problem flashing my old HD 5770 or HD 5870. Could this be becausce it is a new series of cards?

Does anybody have any ideas why this is?

Thanks for any help

Its a new card the programs probably don't suport it yet.

Is it realy worth flashing it? why not just use a program saves bricking the card by mistake. Hmm i can't even see a HIS OC version are you sure there is even a bios? I don't see the card on there website.

Yeah with some overclocking its puts this card on a par with HD 5870, for £175 can't go wrong lol. Im happy with the performance now but don't mind flashing to get a bit more out of it.

I got the bios from 'tech power up vga section' I don't think HIS has released the card yet?

Managed to flash my bios to the HIS OC version using a different ATI Flash found here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18206003.

Getting better performance now, card totally stable with new bios.

Want to try the XFX HD 6870 Black edition bios next, if anybody could share that bios would be appreciated.
