I'm a first time PC builder. I just got done putting everything together. I started it up, and everything seems to be running fine. CPU, and GPU fan spinning. All fans and LEDs on my case are working fine too. The only problem is no signal is going to my monitor. I tried two different monitors, went down to one memory stick, and unplugged/replugged everything.

Specs

ASUS M4A87TD/USB3 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 AMD Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Thuban 2.8GHz
SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850 1GB
Rosewill Green Series RG530-S12 530W
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3

I even tried unplugging the disc drive, and HDDs. Still no signal. I don't have another desktop capable of testing individual parts. Any help would be appreciated.

Another thing. When holding down the Memok! button it just flashes red. Is my memory the problem?

Sounds like a bad GPU.

Do you have any beep codes? (Hear any beeps from the MoBo)

I'm not hearing anything. Don't know if there is a speaker on the mobo though.

Is there any light on the MoBo that flashes multiple times?

No. The green standby LED comes on. The only other light that comes on is memok! if I hold the button down.

Two things to try:
1. Switch which DVI port your monitor cable is plugged into.
2. Your videocard has multiple output types. Test all that you can. Are you using any adapters? (DVI -> VGA or something of that sort)

Only using HDMI at the moment. No idea where my dvi or display port cables are. :(

I think that is your problem. The HDMI port never seems to be the primary and until you set the drivers to change the primary (which obviously you can't do if you can't see anything), you're not going anywhere.

You need to get a DVI-HDMI adapter so you can plug your cable into one of the DVI ports.

edit: or use a DVI cable (assuming the monitor takes DVI input)

First off, everything RMA'd ok? Anything left that was out of your previous mishap?

@Twilyth

Not too long ago I think a cpu/mobo/power supply was rma'd due to a small misunderstanding. Just trying to understand, it's possible that the video card might have needed RMA'd also.

Everything came back new from Newegg (CPU, GPU, Mobo, PSU). At the time my RAM was out of the slots. The DD seems to be working fine. HORRIBLE luck...

What do I need to RMA most likely?

Ok, try 1 stick of ram each slot, See if it posts and will go from there. Also clear cmos after each attempt just to be cautious.

Yup yup yup! :)

With nearly everything being RMA'd I'm beginning to think it's an incompatibility with the ram or one of the new components came to him DOA.

I know you didn't mention it in your first post, but do you have any other hardware? Any PCI cards, for instance? Even though it seems unlikely a PCI card would cause a problem, who knows?

Try taking out the card, blowing out the slot and reinserting it. I'd also try turning the monitor off then back on during start up.

What monitor do you have? Can you link it please?

EDIT:

Also, if you wish to try this. Remove the watch battery from the motherboard, unplug the power supply from the wall and jump the clear cmos header.

Another thing to check, do you have a PCIe 6 pin connected to the internal back end of the video card? May possibly be loose or disconnected. Check your motherboards 4pin in the upper left by the I/O ports.

Looking at mobo specs, 0601 is first release bios from what I can see and the 1055t's request 0704. Think he would need a different chip to update bios to allow use of the the current cpu? Anyone else have this board could you chime in please :)

Re-inserting the card into the slot seems like a good idea. Also check that all the necessary power cables are plugged into the card. (Your card needs a PCIe 6 pin power connector)
