Sharkoon released the first picture of its upcoming high-end gaming mouse, named DarkGlider. The teaser pic reveals the mouse to be right-hand oriented, and using a laser-based tracking mechanism. The top-left corner of the mouse, next to the left-click button, reveals a small LCD display with a readout "6000", possibly indicating its resolution to be 6,000 dpi. Apart from its three main buttons, the mouse has a 2-axis scroll-wheel, sensitivity adjustments, macro selection, and two side buttons. Sharkoon will announce the DarkGlider at this year's CeBIT event, in March.

the mouse doesnt look that different from a Roccat Kone+ except theres a LED/Digital display where the lightstrips should be.

Generally speaking, I quite like the look of that mouse but my £35 Logitech G500 is still going strong after a year and im very comfortable with it, so unless it dies, I will most likely contact Logitech to see if they can give me a deal on a G700. I usually retire my mouse's after about 3years anyway unless i spot a really good deal that i cant pass up so whichever comes first.

finally a contender for the sidewinder X8 with the screen and onboard dpi buttons :D i can maybe retire my ancient x8 for this then.

looks sweet but the screen is of course nothing but a gimmick

Not at all if it works like the XAI as you don't need software and is all saved on the mouse. How ever i bet it lasts as long as an other mice last for me.. i tend to get about 10-13 months out of them and double click syndrome happens with them.

About time we see some high quality gaming mice and not just high prices.

have u tried the sidewinder x5 or x8? they are tanks! My X8 is still going almost 3 years on. :)

It looks cheap to me. I like my Razer, it is nice for a basic mouse.... and basic is what I wanted. My hands get cramped easily anymore causing me to hit the side buttons. As far as side buttons are concerned this Sharkoon mouses side buttons appear like they would be hard to hit.

You won't be disappointed with the G700, It awesome. I don't even know why people get Razers when the G700 is so much better than pretty much all of them at a cheaper price. Take the Razer Mamba for example, twice the price! For what? the inability to use it while its charging? Or that it has less buttons and no freescroll? F*** that.

6000dpi is also a gimmick, its just silly. Just like 5700dpi on the G700, you notice bugger all after about 3000dpi in terms of accuracy and if you want more sensitivity just turn the sensitivity up.

oooohhhhh, i actually feel your pain. Dunno why but I eat and write with my left hand and do everything else with my right. I think I may have changed hands (somehow?) to make my right hand the dominant hand when I was really young or parents made me switch. :/ Dang, do you know any good left handed mice>?

Yeah, well school screwed with me over left \ right handed BS and now it's a mixture of both.

All the left handed mice i have had over the last 6 years failed just before or just after a year and as i said before every single one with the same issue were either the switch either weakens or the plastic wears a little which makes it double click on a single click...

Steelseries said the will replace it but i all so said to them if the cannot replace the mouse with a new warranty then i will not bu any more of there stuff as the last one of theirs cost $100. And to be honest even with a replacement mouse of them and it will fail for same reason which they say it's unfortunate that this has happened. But i don't want to be spending $50 a year on a mouse when it's such a simple fix ( don't use cheap plastic ).

All so pissed at Razer too as there Keyboard is failing just before a year too so if you see any Y's missing thats why lol.

Shame these company's can do such crap with the warranty as i think if a item is replaced you should have a new warranty for the new item then they would have to fix the issue.
