Hello,

Most of pc in our institute have virus which duplicate all files with .exe and hide original files..so if i fix it one time in my pc and again if i insert pendriv3 in my institute pc then again same problem..

i have solution to unhide hidden files
Code:
http://www.tech2hell.com/2011/02/how-to-recover-hidden-files-from-virus-infected-usb-pendrive)
but wht to do for that .exe files..do i have to manually remove each .exe files? as if i have 100 files in my pendrive, 100 files will be hidden and .exe duplicated files are there, so i have solution to unhide all 100 files at once but no solution to remove all .exe fake files at once..

my one pc have bitefender which removes all .exe files also but my new laptop having norton isnt doing so so i have to manually remove it..

plz help me wht to do..

set windows to show hidden files and folders, select all, properties, unhide.

if you want to get rid of the virus, format the flash drive and use a better antivirus (i reccomend kaspersky over both of the ones you named)

that's not my question..

i've antivirus in my pc so my pc dont get infected but i need to insert pendrive in my college library, & hospital wards and dept pc and most of them are infected with similar virus so if i insert my pendrive and open it it'll again hide my files and make duplicate .exe of each file..

unhiding is fine, i can do that..but wht to do to remove all duplicate files? bitdefender deletes them but norton doesnt..any other way than changing norton to bitdefender?

I use this http://labs.bitdefender.com/projects/usb-immunizer/overview/

It basically create an unmodifiable autorun.inf (which contain nothing) so that virus can't do anything to your USB. Unless someone formatted it of course.

found something like this..

Panda USB and AutoRun Vaccine
Code:
http://research.pandasecurity.com/Panda-USB-and-AutoRun-Vaccine/

which is better? will it work for sure?

anyways, thx..i'll try.

I used to use panda, but they require you to install them now while the bitdefender one is a portable application. They do basically the same thing though, so it's your call.

The portable option seems to be the ideal preference for me.

I hope your institution's IT dept. is addressing the larger issue in cleaning the virus(s) off their computers. :\
