Hi. I have this graphic card http://www.hisdigital.com/un/product2-448.shtml but it says the CCC 12.6 is not WHQL. So what is the newest I can go that will fully install the HDMI with sound ?

The last time i saw the support for hdmi fully WHQL was 12.1 but i dont know if i have to put 13.1 now or install 12.1 before and after 13.1

Hi,

I believe all AMD older videocards that are older than the HD 5000 series (i.e. HD 4000 and older) have become legacy, and now only receive limited/legacy support, hence the last 12.6 Catalyst driver AGP isn't WQHL'ed.

AMD has moved to the AMD Radeon™ HD 4000, AMD Radeon HD 3000, and AMD Radeon HD 2000 Series new driver support model. These updates will focus on resolving application specific issues and critical updates. The reason for the shift in support policy is largely due to the fact that the AMD Radeon HD 4000, AMD Radeon HD 3000, and AMD Radeon HD 2000 Series have been optimized to their maximum potential from a performance and feature perspective.

Perhaps roll back to Catalyst 12.1 that works better for you.

I ran the 12.6's on my 4870's. And the 13.1s won't work as the aren't for legacy products.

On AMD's website, you just select whatever card you're using and it gives you the drivers. I saved time for you, this is what it gave me for your card: http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/CatalystAGPHotfix.aspx

I did try and install even the 12.1 but the Video driver does not install. Only the HD sound does. So I think I will have to try each one of them until the older one fits.

Automated brings me to 12.6 AGP which is not fully compatible neither WHQL.

Make sure the chipset drivers are installed for the motherboard, If i remember right agp cards were fussy if you don't install chipset and the AGP/Gart driver first.

Its already done but still no one works. I dont know why and it also dont want to instal Catalyst Control Center.
