Disagree here: since the price cuts, nVidia's offerings are more attractive.

May change again once 290 non X is released but it hasn't yet and AMD didn't drop their prices in answer to nVidia or offered newer drivers which changed the performance significantly enough to make it swing their way.

Duuuude, I'd go out and get a 290x if it were that cheap here. Most prices here are between $650 and $750 (from both Umart - here at the Gold Coast - and looking at pc case gear).....

And 770s seem to be between $450 and $550 here on the GC.

prices in DK for the cheapest R9-290x is around 718USD / 527euros for a Gigabyte or MSI the places i can see...

but my price for a Club-3D Radeon R9-290X is about 673USD / 494euros

but i am not buying one, i got a GTX 670 4gb i am happy with ^^;

Sorry, but Bulgaria is way ahead at 1300 lev or the equivalent of $910.

Lev to dollar exchange rate stands at 1:0.70 atm

The "good" thing is that it's only an initial price for the first imports. It will probably settle down closer to a 1000 lev or $700. Right now the AMD is about a $100 more expensive than a non reference Gigabyte 780 WF and close to a $150 more than a Palit Jetstream 780...

Wel in the UK I can find several 780 cards for <400GBP which is much less than the 599GBP it was before the 290x was announced.

430GBP is the cheapest 290x on OCUK (preorder though and stock crap cooler which i would never buy!)
