I got the Rex already in MP. Not sure how the unlocks really work in this regard and what I gotta do exactly to get the P90. If it's level progress or points or both.

In other news the game seems to run about the same in my P55 box as my Z77.

The Rex, P90, QBZ85-1 (assault rifle), Shank, and M249 are guns you unlock by playing the single player campaign and achieve those objectives.

For all weapons at the top listing on Battlelog you get those by points earned by that class of weapon in the game. To get Shotguns, Carbines, and DMRs you need to unlock them first with points from Support, Engi, and Recon respectively. All classes have at least one gun you get by getting the class master dogtag as well.

The best way to see what you need is to go to weapons on battlelog, click on the gun you want, and it will tell you what you need to get it on the right.

I don't see any reason to get retail, unless you can go to a store and get back home again faster than you could download it. Even then, I'd probably still hang out and do what I actually wanted to do while waiting for it to download.

Right after that I took the big ass chopper for a test flight and ran 3 of them over on the tallest buildings roof top, was good for a laugh.

Not that I mind Snipers, but when they congregate on the tallest building on the map, hundreds of feet above any objective and just sit there, it gets old.

I was testing out my xm25 on them myself. Nice too on the multi kill. Never can seem to get more then 2 road kills in a helo (at most). Though I always laugh hard when I do get someone.

Using the all class AK5C now. This should make things better. How exactly does the airburst work ? You shoot at cover people are hiding behind and it'll kill them ?

My first week on it has been a real mixed bag, the ultimate Jekyll & Hyde performance. One good day then one really shit day. I can play the game pretty decent but if I start out bad I just can't turn it round, and besides snipers my pet hate is spawning in to be shot straight away, it happens on a regular basis.

I've been getting a weird bug when I turn VSync on, I'm essentially on 60fps as my game reports it but the game is actually running at 30fps cap... im running dual monitors and 13.11v8

EDIT: disconnecting my 2nd monitor fixed it ... weird
