Hey

Failed to Start Game (Missing Executable)
I see the error "Failed to Start Game (Missing Executable)" when launching a game

Could it the windows 8 32bit don't support the game ?

Do you mind me asking why on earth do you have 16GB of ram and have installed a 32bit OS?

cause the ram haven't arrived yet, comming these week, It caps 3gb iknow.

Gonna upgrade to 64 bit then. :P

Have you verified the game file cache in Steam?

It will detect whether there's any missing or corrupt files and DL and install them for you.

Do you know the reason for that ?

Log on to Steam/right click on the game/properties/local files then verify the integrity of game cache. I've gotten a couple of games to work by doing that. It might not work though because as others have said 64 bit OS is a minimum requirement.

Yeah if it requires a 64 bit OS, then that's it. Games have been optimized for 64 bit for a while now, time to get up to speed.

Doesn't W8 Pro come with both 32 and 64 bit though? Hell, even my W7 installed with both.

Can you tell me the diffrence between 32 and 64?
And also, the game may actually require some Ram which additionally may be why it requires 64 bit, think of it this way, your Video memory is pretty much taking up all of your 32bit memory allocation.

^True dat!

as i remember, in 32 bit windows you can have only 3.25Gb of ram and only 2 GB per process(for example, game)
and 2 GB of ram is not enough for modern game(i have 3.5-5.1Gb on process DL.exe - game Dying Light)

no, for example, i got asus vivotab note 8 coming with x86 win 8.1
with all asus stuff it gets 25Gb of internal eMMC, and x64 would take a bit more(also, dont have some drivers for x64 - the main reason why it is not everywhere - drivers/support/internal strorage)
you can clean reinstall(cause you cant upgrade from x86 to x64) using you key of W8

You're definately going to have to wait until your RAM arrives and install the 64 bit Windows before you can install Dying Light.

@Frag Maniac Yes, W8 if bought in physical disk form does have both 32 bit and 64 bit disks in the box. I have W8.1 Standard, and both disks reside in there.

I guess I assumed that because physical copies are the way I prefer to go, esp with something like an OS.
