Hell yea! My kind of fun! I can hardly wait!

nice video !

After fantastic RTCW I kinda lost interest in Wolfenstein games, especially after playing the god awful Wolfenstein reboot from several years ago.

Might have to play this one:toast:

You don't mean the New Order do you? Or do you refer to the one from 2007 or 2008, I don't remember exactly what year.

When I saw a price of only $20 for this on PS4 I assumed it would be a micro campaign, maybe 4-5 hrs.

Then I read this...

"...an adventure that spans eight chapters and two interconnected stories (released together) that will lead into the events you know and love from The New Order.

Part one of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood – Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves — pits BJ Blazkowicz against a maniacal prison warden as he breaks into Castle Wolfenstein in an attempt to steal the coordinates to General Deathshead’s compound. In part two – The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs – our hero’s search for the coordinates leads him to the city of Wulfburg where an obsessed Nazi archaeologist is exhuming mysterious artifacts that threaten to unleash a dark and ancient power."

...so it's definitely not restricted to just a castle invasion, in fact it looks to span a period of 20 years. My main concern is it might feel too much like the New Order. I'm hoping at least the first half of it will actually feel like something from 20 years prior to the tech of New Order. I want to see some evidence that we are in the infancy of the Nazis technological developments, vs seeing just as much tech as NO had. It would be nice if there's at least one mission where we break into a factory where they're only testing prototypes of tech used in New Order. Maybe even a mission to blow it up and steal blueprints.

20 minutes of PAX gameplay (spoilers obviously)

I think he's talking about Wolfenstein from 2009. It was kind of bland.

Yeah, that's it! That was pretty unmemorable

I skipped that one. I did have fun playing New Order. Still miss the old RTCW. That was a fun game.

Did anyone play the new order? Would you recommend it. The footage I saw make's em want to get it but I 'm not sure yet.

I played RTCW and liked it very much.

Probably one of the few games of prolly the 50 or so I bought last year I actually enjoyed and finished.

I pre-ordered the collectors tin of RTCW and it cost me $70 way back then.

I still have it of course. It's nice because it doesn't need the disk in to play. So I was able to load it on friends PC's and let them play it. Oh the good 'ole days. :)

Edit: I just noticed the Easter egg in the upper right corner on the Wolf web page. Gonna' get me some original Wolf later. Only ever played the nightmare dream level in TNO. Schweet!

Respect.

I was skeptical about New Order after seeing the over the top trailers with dual wield everything. I worried it would feel too arcade to me. I was pleasantly surprised. You can use stealth in a lot of areas and between that and the treasures you can find, it brought back memories of RTCW.

Of course it has it's over the top moments too where you have to take out some pretty big mechs, but they pace even those segments well, and don't really overpower the player. It also has a fairly good story with relatable characters, and tells it well. Definitely worth playing.

Wolfenstien I enjoyed for the feel of combat, the weapons felt really nice and I liked some of the touches, like having to hit certain spots on the tougher enemies to make their tanks explode. The sci fi content was a bit weird and overdone, but I still feel it's worth playing.

I liked RTCW so much, at times I wish they'd remaster it in hi def. Brilliant game.

BTW, that gondola pic above kinda reminds me of the movie Where Eagles Dare, where Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton play allied soldiers that infiltrate a Nazi controlled castle fortress high in the Bavarian Alps to rescue a US general. Excellent flick.

I would love to see a remaster of RTCW. Great game. The graphics are dated so it's hard to recommend it to new gamers but a remaster would be a must play.

This looks very good. I really like the whole thing... the art is beautiful, but the more... I would like to see id Tech 6 at last... at least some little bit, for example like Konami did with their MGS:GZ...

The last wolfenstein had a bioshock feel to it. I liked it!

^Already posted that vid above.

Apparently there will come a part one and two og Wolfenstein.......sounds great - for me at least :)

Part one of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood
- Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves - pits BJ Blazkowicz against a maniacal prison
warden as he breaks into Castle Wolfenstein in an attempt to steal the coordinates to General Deathshead’s compound.
In part two – The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs – our hero's search for the coordinates leads him to the city of Wulfburg where an obsessed Nazi archaeologist is exhuming mysterious artifacts that threaten to unleash a dark and ancient power.

The article I read speaks of both parts, but only one installment. So I'm not sure they're splitting it into two titles as you imply.

I don't know, hard to say yet. However the actual site of the game lists both parts and only one release date, so.
