Okay so I need a fan controller that

-Can run at least 4 high powered fans

-Matches my case (Raidmax Augusta)

-Won't die quick.

-Won't eat my paycheck.

Any ideas? I can't really look up controllers as I'm trying to get to work at the moment. Reason for the controller is throttle season is coming and I'm trying to keep WCG going.

Touch, knobs, sliders, does it have to be in the case?

I don't mind how it's controlled, but as long as it can fit in the ODD area for easy access in the front of my case, I'm a happy dragon.

NZXT has a lot to choose from and have been reliable with great power ratings, maybe look there as they cover all aspects with sliders, touch screens, in and out of the chassis. All at decent pricing for their feature sets too.

You both have made my day. Thanks guys!

Doesn't your case have a fan controller?

+1 for the NZXT Sentry Mesh. It's my favorite compared to similar controllers I have (Fractal and Bitfenix iirc)

One thing to note though... if you're using LED fans the fan controller will also dim your LED's*
*If the LED's get their power from the 3 pin fan connector rather than a seperate source.

There isn't much of a difference of fan speed when I turn the dial on the case controller. It's just a hassle to use to be honest.

Yeah the LEDs are power by a 3 pin connector that confuses me completely.

Also for both replies the fan controller can be hidden behind my white door in the front of the case so no one messes with my fans.

take a look at this...

Regards,

If the fans are the same you can use this (well even if they arent but all will be set to the same percentage which may be different rpm for different fans)

Because i for one dont like extra knobs, sliders, lcd screens etc on my case and it's cheap. you would controll it with software from one of your PWM ports. Just have it in mind of extra things on front of your case are not your cup of tea (all thou by the looks of that case sleek and minimal is not in your vocabulary) :P

Here is a shot of my Raidmax Vampire case with the NZXT sentry mesh when I first put the rig together.

That picture is a bit dark, you can barely see anything but seems to go nicely with the build

While normally I'd choose this over anything else, I let my desktop run while I sleep and the dumb thing is 6 inches from my head. I'll keep this in mind though.

so just put the pwm value to 0 in speedfan and the fans will stop completely :) At least that's what happens on my board

I didn't even know Speedfan could do that.

I just love how the NZXT sentry 3 looks but I probably wont buy one ever.

It may or may not work with your board. Try it out with your current setup. If it does it for 1 fan it will do it with all 4 when attached to it
