Notebook acer aspire 9420, with Windows 7, which is a few years from time to time on start, after the bios, ready to load the operating system, is a black screen, dead. Resolved only by inserting the DVD of windows and doing repair boot.
Can you tell me what can be dependent and like trying to solve?
(I tested hd and ram, both without errors)

If you have an image BEFORE loading to desktop, but not once you should be getting a desktop, the problem lies with your driver.

Use F8 to get into Windows Safe Mode, uninstall the driver, reboot.

Install the newest driver you can download for your GPU.

I dont have any image before loading windows, only a black screen after loading bios

Try reformatting the drive where you have your Windows 7, and then once you're done reformatting try to reinstall your Windows 7 again.
Hope this resolves your problem:)

Still try F8 as this is before any drivers are loaded.

so it goes black on boot even if you try to reboot/poweroff/changebios settings/etc?

F8 brings up the windows boot menu with options such as safe mode

the idea is if safe mode also goes black... well... then windows (or the gfx driver) might not be the problem
ok thanks, so i have to wait next time problem appen
