are all DDR4 ram cards non-ecc and unbuffered?

Hello guys! I've been working on this build of mine and my motherboard requires DDR4 Non-ECC and Unbuffered ram cards. Now theres alot of nice expensive cards and others that are rather cheap and I believe are a good quality. I found some Crucial DDR4 16GB 2400MHz DUAL S (2X8GB MODULES) 1.2V from fry's for like 88.99 which is pretty decent. However I cannot find any information regarding if it is Non-ECC or Unbuffered. Now from what I can tell all DDR4 ram cards have been non-ecc and unbuffered.

Any suggestions peeps?

There is DDR4 ecc but thats sodimm so yes its non-ecc unbuffered

But you should post the model # and what the memory is for

my bad I forgot to put the model # it is CT2K8G4SF824A|

so what is sodimm exactly? xD and thanks for the information! If it is what you say them ima get them ;)

Laptop memory. What is the memory for???

Which motherboard exactly? VIII The manufactures website has a list of approved CPU and Memory for your board
 
Where do you live? The US?
 
You might find a little cheaper on sale but this is the type you need
 
ecc ddr4 is significantly more expensive than non ecc. like 2-3x more expensive. frys is generally really good about ram labeling ram if it is ecc, registered or buffered.

also almost all ddr4 ecc ram is 2133. i'd say all but there might be some weird brand out there with a different speed.

Hey jetster i found another corsair model CMK16GX4M2A2400C16 and its pretty much the same thing as the other one you showed me but it wont say if its nonecc or unbuffered xD i looked and frys says its unbuffered but thats it. Do you think this one will work? i'm just wondering cuz i could stop by fry's and price match it and pick it up today lol. Thanks alot for your help
 
dunno why people not fill sys specs nor location on a computer forum ....
 
If you are using a maximus viii hero i would look at faster ram

3200 is generally barely any more expensive than 2400 stuff and seems the sweet spot, over this the prices climb quite sharply
