I have core temps but i think it shows the temps on my mb asus 970 pro gaming/aura since it's the same as mb with hwmonitor, what software can show me the right temp from my fx8300 cpu in the taskbar?

19 min prime time small ffts it got according to ai suite 3 57c hot but core temp showed much lower temp someting like 10-15c less

hwmonitor and core temp both use the on die temperature sensor. AMD sensors are only accurate at the tMax, so it isn't surprising that it is off.

HWmonitor can display it in the taskbar, you can color it and everything. Personally I use SpeedFan, but if you just need the temperature, HWmonitor is great.

EDIT: My bad, the program is HWiNFO, mixed them up.

How do get it in my taskabar i don't see how

Open the sensors page, then find the temperature/voltage/whatever you want, right click it and "Add to tray".

Try HWiNFO64 it's been the most consistent for me when it comes to accuracy.

They all pull from the same sensor. There should be zero difference between any of them and if there is it means they are running an offset which will make them off at a different point.

core temp is way to low mabye its showing mb temp or just way of, about 20c in difference, cpu is 43c according to hwmonitor 64

Is 57c okay according to ai suite 3 prime 95 small fft(max heat) noctua nh-d15 about 600-700 rpm, cpu fx 8300 1.275 core not to high llc mabye medium or high (can't remember) always under 1,300 volt mabye 1.2875 3x noctua 140mm pwm fans about 625 rpm one about 15% higher

had to lower aa abit in need for shift 2 unleashed but not in project cars i got around 90 fps and up to around 115fps with no change of the setting in the game, palit gtx 1060 dual 6gb

Hwinfo64 for me lots of info on the sensor page

for the core temps use AMD Overdrive. Though it's only accurate if you're running any load on the processor. Idle temps doesn't make sense at all.

I have found HWmonitor lacking in proper voltage detection where HWiNFO has fewer problems with it, also idk why but HWmonitor doesn't label some readings, HWiNFO tells you what temp reading is what it's a pain to have to figure what is what sometimes.

This has been MY experience though. It may only be unique to me.

It isn't unique, this is a known issue for some time.

The coming AMD ZEN CPU will ship with a new sensor; this sensor will take the rectal temperature of Intel fanbois.

Voltage and temperature readings aren't the same thing. All of the readers will pull off of the on-die sensor the same. The only variance will be based off of a software side offset. Your preference on what it labels it doesn't change them reading the same batch of sensors in the same way...

HWiNFO seems to be more accurate and it offers pretty much all info you'll ever need about temperatures, voltages, fan speeds... HW Monitor reported over 7 GHz core speed on my setup :D.

Yep, 57°C is perfectly fine for an FX 8300. Its maximum operating temperature is 70,5°C.

This is true, as a full package I still prefer HWiNFO.

Have heard it's an error that it say 70.5c on amd's website, it would also be 61c

I'd go with amd over a "have heard on the internet" source, all things considered. I mean, they did make the processor.

Prime 95 fft max heat max 61 c according to ai suite 3 core temp is constantly showing 20 c lower temps (max 41 c)

cpu 4.214 ghz never went under 4.200ghz

vcore in bios 1,31250volt doing prime 95 vcore is 1.3680 volt it settles at 1.232 or 1.344 with low load and not power savings enabled

Cpu load line calibration ultra high

Cpu/nd load line calibration high

Cpu power response control fast

Cpu/nb power response control fast

3x140mm noctua fan 800-850rpm, noctua nh-d15 1100rpm

It has been published for quite a long time that 61C is the actual safe Core limit, this higher 70.5C number is a different reading on the back of the mainboard socket.

Fair enough, I was just saying I'd like to see a source. I accept his claim now, it's obviously more than just something some "dude said."

hwinfo its intel oriented, not always shows all the sensors on amd cpu's

How do i aut make HWINFO64 start op i min taskbar i can seem to make it aut do that

I always have to start it manually (windows 10)

  1. You may want to add an app, a document or a folder to startup in Windows 10 so they automatically launch or open when the PC boots. ...
  2. Press Win+R.
  3. and press Enter: shell:startup
  4. Use Paste or Paste shortcut to place one to Common startup folder:

I also forgot about the autostart in the program
