Just loaded it up and started a new game........

Seems to be bugged out, maybe I need to reinstall.

Been playing for the past few hours, no major issues, definitely seeing a number of improvements, me likey!

Nice pc improvements...

Did they finally fixed the 720p rendering in game instead of native one? Also what major improvements?

Just a few of the big list:

- basebuilding
- freighters
- survival mode
- TA / TA+FXAA anti aliasing modes
- new alien races
- new spacecrafts
- item stacking
- fixed low resolution re-endering

Survival mode can be brutal, i died 3 times within 20 minutes due to spawning in toxic and irradiated planet with a bunch of angry creatures. Also, life support systems would stay up no more than 3 minutes and i need to travel ~11 minutes to my spacecraft :D

I'm hoping they'll fit in widescreen support (5760x1080). There's a mod out there from Flawless Widescreen that mostly works when I last tried it a couple months back, but the menus didn't fit in the screen (inventory screen, things feel zoomed in too much or it's too large and some of it falls outside of the visible screen area).

I'm excited for the new patch that's out, I'll have to launch gog galaxy and update my No Man's Sky and try things out. After reading through what's out on the update...sweet!

I've seen on Reddit how someone experienced massive heards of animals on one planet, very much similar to the one from the PR video back in the days...

Will they add multiplayer?

I've heard good things about this patch.
Do you think it will be enough to get people to purchase the game again?

Considering all their lies and basically abandoning any community interaction after the initial release, I hope not.

LOOL
What about new players?

No,no and no. Ths game broken every hype possible I had for this game. I dont think any update or patch will make ppl think different

I'm thinking of getting this game. I do like the endless option of exploration finding, but all the initial problems with it and the silence on devs end forced me to wait. But with this new release, they've fixed some of the old issues and fixed few things. I don't care about multiplayer, so there's that. I've had multiplayer in Minecraft and it pissed me off that some dickhead with diamond armor always randomly ran past my house and killed me as I was minding my fucking business digging a freaking cellar in the shore. So, screw multiplayer.

- basebuilding

Sense make none. Endless exploration. Billions of systems. Stay home, build base. If it was a system where you could create an entire trading economy and have bases/trading stations in lucrative areas I would have understood, but not in the game as is. From what Ive seen anyway, I don't own it.

looks like you can warp back and forth, so you can return to the base. not sure on specifics.

I also heard someone on Reddit made base near a black hole which allows him to randomly transport him within yellow star systems.

They should have just made a heavily customisable slew of ships, so instead of building a base on a planet (which defeats the entire premise of the game), your ship becomes a travelling base that gives you some form of vested interest in it. This basebuilding just seems to be a desperate attempt at quelling some requests at the expense of their game's dwindling remaining dignity.

thats what i expected, a capital ship that carried your smaller ones around with larger cargo storage on board.

From the trailer showing the ship launch from a capitol ship, I expected the game to follow the Battlestar Galactica approach. Considering the starter ship looked just like one of theirs (actually it reminded me of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century), it seemed a given.

I was hoping you could fly the massive freighters yourself. Turns out they are called on demand. Too bad. One of the biggest downsides are the ships really. If the game is positioned around gathering resources and space travel, wouldn't it make more sense to bet EVERYTHING on space ships? You start with that tiny little fart can and you upgrade up to massive interstellar freighters, destroyers, carriers, building stuff on top of them like defense systems, autonomous defense fighters etc. That would be so badass flying around, gathering precious cargo and then defending it from random events like alien pirates or other hostiles. And the small space crafts in the beginning would only be able to evade such enemies, but not engage them, allowing balance without punishing you by throwing stupendously overpowered enemies at you in the beginning.

I read comments of peolple which haven't seen the change in latest update. Try and check first of all, then speak (or write)
