Streacom is known for its high-quality enclosures that utilize the case exterior as big heat pipes to achieve a completely passive experience. The Streacom DB4 takes it to the next level with a unique, compact, yet functional and potent design, that supports up to seven HDDs and 20 cm long GPUs.

Would you be required to use a blower GPU to avoid heat buildup? 'Completely passive' sounds nice, but personally I wouldn't mind a single low speed 140mm fan, especially if you plan on installing 3.5" HDDs with a HTPC in mind.

This is glorious.

I like the design of this case. Thanks for the excellent review:toast:

This combined with a passive, yet strong GPU and a nice CPU = silent dream.

wow! this is really nice case!

I would expect a soldered heatpipe solution in such an expensive case...
And I'm kinda worried about the temperatures of the drives, VRMs and stuff as there is zero airflow.

PS the additional 140€ for the PSU might be worth mentioning.

Np unless you overclock. Mainboards are designed for this. SSD don't get hot anyway. Don't worry.

Love it! Nice review Darksaber! Happy to see more and more evolution away from 50 year old computer case's concept!

What Apple did with it's dustbin was put I/o on the side and use the base and top for airflow... How about adding a fan to the top plate? Room? And how about forgetting the provided passive cooling and just use a small (stock) fan and report the temps? Is this aluminium case a better cooling solution? I want to know if it is "form over function" or not!

As a nitpick I would have asked Streacom to provide you with ALL the accesories and do the full review, plus install a GPU and report how that works, please! (One would be pretty unresponsible to buy this case only based on this short review.)

Of course a shining dream to show off in any office, studio or living room, if it really works!

the case is good but you have limited stuff that supported by it

Very nice review!!
